Can riot just cool it with this upcoming Irelia overhaul?

I think for a champion released under a year ago it's a bit much for Riot to be talking about an upcoming overhaul.

They're going to get into an Azir or Galio situation soon if they make more drastic changes. She lost some utility, but she still has her burst. Let her find a stable place in the game before screwing around more...

Taking about moving from burst to sustain at this point is a really bad idea, Irelia has her niche. Just make little numbers adjustments up or down as needed.

I'm not saying she's too strong/weak, just that riot should have some patience...

She is hardly overpowered, especially now. They just will not leave her alone until she is ultra-boring and completely useless. Or they will rework her again and she will be boring and op. -_-

Can't wait when she will be trash champion like she was before rework.

Because that's what Riot does it's best.

Or they'll make her way too overpowered and they'll have to keep trashing and spending all this time getting her in line while they remake her 3 times a year.

Maybe they could just go with slight nerfs until things look OK. That's what I'm saying.

That's not gonna happen anymore.

She wasnt a trash champion before rework

She was extra polarizing stuncheck oneshoter

Well, Irelia was always meant to be more of a sustain damage dealer and not a burst champion. So these changes should help bring her back to her original playstyle.

What original playstyle?

Her Ultimate is like nothing anymore, just a slow-shit basic ability.

Her ult pre rework was awful too lol, I'd much rather have this one. Most of her abilties are also upgrades to her pre rework. Honestly, if they change her back to a sustained damage dealer instead of a burst damager dealer, she'll simply be a better version of her old self.

thats right, young one not even worth lvling her ult anymore or playing her if you can play yis alpha strike and do more damage. use your anger, join the dark side

Why?

This was what Irelia was before her rework?

Are reworks not meant to capture the original playstyle?

Too late for that. They designed this new kit around different mechanics - her abilities are meant to do a burst combo using resets.

They try and hovel together a different kit it will be a poor design, and likely broken.
