People who think Yasuo's windwall is cancer...

Have clearly never seen an Anivia wall, or a Veigar cage. That sh*t is real cancer. At least you can walk away from Yasuo's wall. No one is forcing you to attack him or his team when it's up, or shoot abilities at it. All you have to do is walk away. But when Anivia blocks you off with her wall, or when Veigar tosses his cage on top of you, there's nothing you can do. There are some abilities in this game that are extremely oppressive and have almost no counterplay. Yasuo's windwall is not one of them. All you have to do is just not attack when it's up. Not that hard.

What if you're a champion with a ranged ultimate, or an ADC with set windows of strength. When i ult as twitch and yasuo just wind walls half lane i dont feel outplayed i feel like he used a cheap trick and now my ult is on cooldown.

I won't deny that it's not an annoying ability because it definitely is. But it's a defensive ability, and IMO defensive abilities are healthy for this game. Unlike Veigar cage or Anivia wall, it has no kill potential, although with Yasuo's insane damage it's easy for him to dash at you after your burst is off cooldown.

Oh dont get me wrong - i hate! Veigar'd cage, byt veigar needs that cage to set up his combo to kill something when it's not super late game. Yasuo has tons of damage, a shield, and mobility to dodge everything an extra layer if defense that doesnt just minimize my ability, but outright deletes them is frustarating to deal with.

Think about all the things you have to keep up with yasuo:

  • does he have a shield? How much flow does he have?
  • are there minions nearby?
  • how many Q charges does he have, does he have ultimate?
  • and finally, all those calculations and the window is finally open, and his windwall/shield/dash is avaiable again!

Veigar is supposed to be a late game champ. Why does he have a cage that grants him so much kill potential (and safety) early game? And even if he doesn't kill you (early game or late), someone else can easily finish you off, since you're trapped in the cage. And if you're still alive (somehow) at the end of all this, he just nukes you with his ult. I'm sorry, but for someone who's supposed to be a late game champ, Veigar's early game kill potential is just way too high.

You dont stun good people (at least not without stunning or rooting them before) Why is a stun unfair which EVERYONE can evade, you can counter it by picking a champion with flash (like 16 of them) or just buying an item against him?

Also Veigar whole kit does not work if you arent stunned, so he would be useless without his stun.

You are overthinking a lot of this:

Does he have a shield/how much flow does he have? ------Better question: Is his flow bar white? or grey? Are there minions nearby? ------Simple answer, yes. Better question: Am I in the jungle? if no, there will be minions. How many Q charges does he have? Better Question: Is the graphic displaying his 3rd Q showing? Late game, just pretend it always is. Does he have his Ultimate? Simple answer is Yes, unless I actually just saw him use it this fight.

All these calculations aren't calculations. They are things you can easily notice. Yasuo is not hard to shut down, and when he is behind he is toast unless you stall the game and let him farm. If that happens, its lategame: its Yasuo's turf now.

Try to counter pick him: Olaf works great, so does Kayle. An AMAZING Yasuo can outplay you, but it is very difficult, especially if you are good with those champs.

Have your Jungler camp him/tilt him. I try to share this tip with junglers all the time as a top lane main. If we kill the enemy top laner, and we are still healthy, don't go far and kill him again as soon as he gets to lane, or even between his towers if able. Especially in lower elos, (like where I am at) this can make people rage quit or TILT super hard. It seems like a dirty trick, but if you are playing ranked, its all fair game.

I think the whole community would be a lot better if such spells were just considered annoying (becuase they are) and accepting that annoyance is part of the gameplay because the enemy isn't there to make you feel good.

annoyance = tilt and tilt = OP Literally the most OP thing in this game is tilt.

Self control is OP

I tilt time to time but more because of the lack of teamwork rather than champion's skills.

No one is forcing you to attack him or his team when it's up, or shoot abilities at it.

Unless, for example, Yasuo happens not to be braindead boosted bronze bonobo, and uses it to fizzle your most important projectile after you shoot it, which effectively renders vital part of your kit 100% useless until your team manages to stun Yasuo.

Ice wall and cage I can dash, flash, blink over, qss, cleanse and what not. I can rengage, disengage as I please, or I can tank through whatever my enemies shoot at me while I'm blocked. Finally I can just stun/silence/knockup/whatnot the baddies before they manage to cast it.

Yasuo? Unless I have Malphie or Hec - which I don't, probably, because Yasuo's team picked them as soon as their lastpick intended Yasuo, I might as well not have 'R' key. No pyroclasms today. Face the wind.

If a Veigar put his cage behind him but you were in front of him and you still get stunned then you would feel the pain that is Yasuo.

Fix the starting point of his windwall.

There are some things that are annoying like having your entire ult negated because of one ability, but I can live with that. It's how much utility he gets from it that is annoying. He can use it in a duel and dash back and forth through it for like 4 seconds and not get hit by anything. He can stop an entire siege with it be throwing it in front of his turret, he can prevent you from CSing under your tower with it (if you need range to CS). He can negate 4 seconds of Baron/dragon damage. It just has so many uses. I just wish it broke after getting hit a couple times is all.

Anivia wall is annoying, but I kind of like that and Trundle pillar because they are the only true counters to champs that can't be stopped (like Olaf ult or super high movespeed champs)

Veigar cage is so-so, it is strong, but not in every circumstance. 1 on 1 for example it's not that great because you can just walk around inside it and dodge everything. Late game / teamfights it is pretty strong though. Honestly since they added the delay I feel it's fairly balanced
