To encourage a broader champ pool. And it helps limit the amount of chests one can earn

I don't want a broader champ pool, I know who I like playing

Don't we already have autofill for this dumb shit?

I don't get autofilled and it doesn't solve anything

To be fair chest earning would be capped at 4 per month whether you could get 4 on the same champion or not.

So then there's no real point to limiting it to one per champion.

This "mastery" system does everything but encourage mastery. It encourages you to get one lucky game with a champion and then shelve them for a year.

Oh no, I agree with not limiting it to one per champion. I just wanted to state that regardless you would only be allowed 4 per month so they're not giving out any more than they already are.

Hell, the chest system has very little to do with your mastery of a champion. You could have a crappy game and still earn a chest since someone else in your group got an S.
