I used to Get Excited! for the Free Champion Rotation

Now that I have quite a few of the roster under my belt, there are some weeks that aren't really interesting for me, but every now and then I will see champions I have no interest in spending IP on but I actually kind of enjoy playing time to time, such as Aatrox(I liked devourer Aatrox), Vi, Lulu and Leona.

However, now I can't even bring myself to play them on free week. It crushes my soul to play them, and earn an S+ ranking and shoot myself in the foot because I realized I could have gotten a key fragment or a chest if I played a different champion, and seeing how rare they are, I simply do not want to bother anymore.

Am I alone here?

Eh. You're not always going to earn a s+ ranking on a new champ. Even if you did play a champ you own, there's no guarantee you'd get any of the hextech loot. And it's pretty rare to actually get loot for a champion you want, even if you have a fairly large pool.

It'd be nice if you could earn loot on any champ, but I don't really think it's a pressing issue.

I dunno what it is, but the more I play a champion, I actually get worse and start to do pretty terrible at them, but if I play a new champion I somehow do pretty well

It feels bad if you don't play a ton of league. As you play more and more league it matters less as you have more chests and keys unlocked. At a certain point you are waiting on chests and there is no reason not to play other champs. Before then it does suck though.
