After the nerf all i see are (when he doesnt get banned),has everyone forgotten that there was a time in league of legends when tanks were played in the toplane? it saddens me to see the tank class being exclusively played in the jungle. Some of the changes in the tank rework were good and left some tanks with high winrates but the item nerfs have just devastated most toplane champions. Not only is picking tank meaning that you will have to call an ally top to kill the enemy splitpushing fighter after 15 minutes but it also means youre building garbage items. The roles strengh is now concentrated in these 2 so going full tank does not feel rewarding in any way.

I feel that you're both right and wrong. I feel that you're right in the respect that Sunfire sucks complete crap and that Spirit Visage is 80 percent of the time your best option in MR, but other tank items are still okay. Deadmans Plate has been really fun to play with on semi-immobile juggernauts and tanks just for the mobility boost. Randuins is pretty good but it's got a really crappy build path. Items like Warmog's and Thornmail are still good, but both feel a bit lackluster. Adaptive helm fits this great niche created by Cassiopia, Teemo, Anivia and, to a lesser extent, Morgana. Unfortunately, sucking health out of items has led to True Damage to become worse, though more armor does condensate a little for more sustained forms of damage.
