You can still just disenchant it for blue essence to get the 500-600 you need for mastery. At least it's better than being forced to buy it with money or spend months gathering it from chests.
GaleWinUnleashed1 votesRNG, yes, but at most it will cost you 6800 IP to get 500 blue essence (4 shards for 450 IP champs, which is worth 600 blue essence). More likely it will only cost 3400 for 2 shards worth a total of more than 500 essence.
