If I feel like playing mid I feel like there should be a double mid option. When you do this you will be guaranteed mid lane, however, the queue time will be much longer. I don't mind waiting 20-30 minutes to get into a game. I would much rather do that than get into a game in 5 minutes but get the role I least desired.
There are probably people willing to do this and I think it would be a good idea especially for people who OTP a lane or jungle

Been a long time since calc and queing theory stuff but if I recall shit gets pretty extreme when you start halving things.
ChuChuMuthaDucka1 votesThis is why I miss Teambuilder. At the time, queue times seemed to take forever, but at least you were not only guaranteed your role, but also the champ you wanted.
Now, we have similar, if not worse, queue times with no guarantee of getting either your preferred role or the champ you want.
Obviously you can't really implement TB in ranked because there wouldn't be bans, but damn that queue had everythingI wanted out of a non-ranked experience.

Shifune2 votesNty. Anyone with a simple understanding of math knows why this would be stupid. It isn't as simple as "waiting 20-30 minutes." Queue times would be hours long. The game would literally only be playable by queuing as support.

Marshbouy1 votesno, that's not how it works. You are always going to be "opted in". Those mid/jungle mains are now only going to be going mid, less people are going jungle and queue times are longer. It's not a good idea. RIOT already made OTPing easier with the introduction of the new champ select and the changes to make sure you frequently get you primary postition.
