Can I not be placed with a player that I just reported?

Disembark··78 votes·1,502 views

I just played a game where my Garen top just inted publicly and kept saying "enjoy loss" etc.

So I'm like whatever it happens so I reported him and moved on. Next queue I get placed with him again and he says he's gonna int again. So I'm forced to dodge.

There is a reason I report someone and at least don't put me with that same player again.

You should not have dodged, getting placed with him in a same team meant you could have chained your reports. The more reports get chained game after game, the more likely he is to get banned.

Is it worth it?

Getting bastard permabanned? Yes of course it was. XD

On the other hand (assuming it's a ranked): If he had played the full game and lost, which is most likely because it's a 4v5 (or you can also say 4v6 if the inting person is feeding kills to the enemy), he would have lost 15-20 LP. On the other hand, the dodge penalty for the first dodge is about 3LP (I don't know the exact value but I remember it being somewhat very low).

No you-- Some of us have jobs! Some of us have to work for a living!

No, I will never spend another 25 minutes with someone who just announced inting! Why would I ever? This is my free time, it's all I goddam have.

This^ As someone with two kids, a full time job, and a needy girlfriend, Im dodging every chance i get because a half hour wasted playing with trolls eats up my very valuable free time.

its practically impossible to get banned for inting so ya know unless he was toxic this wouldn't have done anything.

Now imagine you just report every single person you play with so you don't have to play with them again

Matchmaking breaks, you queue for 50 minutes every game

Good job.

Here is another great idea: wait a few minutes before queuing again or check a site after a few minutes to see if he is ingame already

the community isnt made up of 150 people ok :P

no but challenger/master tier players could abuse it to make sure that they don't get paired with someone who specifically is a bad pairing for them

You could always disable this for them, just like they used to have exclusively autofill for their queue lengths (before it became global across the ladder) or how they have/had (don't remember) premade limitations If I recall correctly. This would make sense as I think there is much smaller chance there will be serial int-feeder in such elo.

Caçanoobs1 votes

well implement it for anything under diamond just like the autofill system earlier .

the number of people at your mmr isnt in the millions. defeinitely not active when you're playing. It would without a doubt break matchmaking.

Caçanoobs1 votes

doubt it , or maybe the system can prioritize having them on the opposing team that way still having the same players but in a different shuffle

The higher you get the less people you have. I was talking from a plat+ standpoint. It is way too easy to abuse, even if you play in lower elo. Play for a month and you have a shit ton of people blocked from getting in your game if you keep doing it

Caçanoobs1 votes

how often do you meet the same players ?

TTK Dreadnought2 votes

edit: Ignore this comment

i believe blocking them does that. but even then, i usually dont see the same people repeatedly anyway

Blocking only prevents friend requests, it does nothing for matchmaking.

TTK Dreadnought1 votes

Thank you for clarifying. i rarely find the same people, nor remember randoms so i wouldnt of noticed anyway.

I've had a friend invite me to a game, start the que cause I was afk, me start the que a few minutes later, someone dodged a que and then it matched us in the same lobby.

And I have been matched with 3 people I reported previously in a normal game, and then get matched with them the next day in a ranked game. I beat their ass cause I knew which one of them was the leader. They had the same broken english insults for every game and I had the joy of playing about 5 with them last season before I rose above their rank.

And lately I've started seeing the same people a lot. I'm not even high elo. Probably bronze now since I've been playing with my bronze friends and picked up some bad habits.

TTK Dreadnought1 votes

man, thats some bad and good luck respectively.

and yea, i only play rank with a couple people on my team. the rest of my club are norms only to avoid bad habits

which is stupid... unless you are diamond + the chances of you ever getting placed with the same person ever again are minuscule and can easily be avoided. there is no reason for anyone under that to be placed with someone on their ignore list... EVER again

Seems like a good idea

I wish there was a button that was like , give this player the best team mates every just place him on the other team just so you can feel like justice is done , next time just give it 5 min or something man :) go for a walk around the house or something its good for your health , ill start doing that you shouldnt be on the pc for longer than an hour without a 5 min rest anyway, the usual argument i hear from this awful community is " well that way in the really high bracket you can report everyone and get a premade team every time , which i reply to with , well dont implement it on the higher brackets .

We should get 3 slots to say "never with this player again"

DuskDaUmbreon1 votes

It's a good idea, but would honestly just end up in people reporting anyone who's just bad.

IPromiseTomorrow1 votes

So true I agree.

I winner why riot hasn't addressed that at all. I havn't looked it up a lot yet I'm sure it hasn't been even talked about. Riot hasn't mentioned it.

Either way good post if it added it would improve the report system and your statement (from title) should be added into the report system. ^^

Mig891 votes

Its because people would report teammates who have bad games and it would absolutelyt ruin matchmaking if everyone knew about this and took advantage. Challenger players already have long queue times and all it would take is a couple reports to gaurantee hours long queues. There are people who regularly report a person or two after every game. There are only so many players at your MMR.

The matchmaking itself is a problem.

Dong huap shows a video him having records of Silvers vs Plat in ranked it's in his "What's v the best time to play league" Agreed on the fact that I don't want MMR matchmaking to be screwed over more I'm sure the report system can be adjusted differently in Challenger and Master even Diamond For Ex: (Report a player who has Equal/Close to MMR range higher than you [D1/MAster/Challenger] they will not be blocked-out from your ranked-queue-search but put in low priority in ranked-queue-search.

Summary:::::::::::::::::: VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV Reported people are the lady people you'll play with in Queue As long as you are Challenger/Master/D1-4

I'm sure that'll fix it.

Mig891 votes

I dont think you understand how many will report someone who is bad just to avoid playing with them again. It would screw up low ELO too.

IPromiseTomorrow1 votes

Hn I can see those Problems in ranked yet in unranked it should work fine.

Considering not playing with people you reported would be huuge qol change

Happened to me this week. MY jungle and support were duoed and they were both trolling. I reported the jungle (not realizing they were duoed) and they ended up in my next game, were they trolled and raged at me the whole game.
