Is Zilean too strong?

Little Stick Man··1 votes·1,241 views

40% CDR Zilean has a decently sized AOE stun every like 5 seconds (assuming you can hit it) and a targeted GA for an ult. With the new time in a bottle passive coming up, he can get his lane and others ahead in levels too, but will this make him too strong?

really a zilean op thread?

(insert facepalm pic here)

the real problem with zilean, is that they keep changing his passive the wrong way, enough with the exp crap. just give him something new that actually does something. his current and soon to be new passive will be 100% worthless when a game reaches the 40-50 minute marks.

maybe something like

casting a bomb on an ally increases their move speed by 10% (stacks with E) casting a bomb on an enemy reduces their damage by 10% to zilean for the duration

maybe not those exactly, but make his passive actually do something.

i think giving an ally the rest of the exp for a level is pretty substantial

it will only help for like a boost to a quick 6 bot lane, thats all, maybe to jungle if they get invaded early.

but otherwise it becomes a useless passive when everyone is 18 and the game is decided on a fight and zilean is sitting there handicapped by a passive not in use

The snowballing potential can't be ignored though.

or to your mid or top...it doesnt just happens obce guys. he could gove xp to each teamate at different points. He sorta has a little more potential. Imagine they ignite you and you level up/if you ran oom/ if u wanted ur ult sooner

the only level up in the game that matters for like 90% of champs is 5 to 6

No offense but are you daft? People say Morde is OP SOLELY due to his xp passive, most times not even mentioning his Q or dragon passive. This is basically roughly the same thing. And yet you claim it is a crap passive? I honestly wont be surprised if people truly claim he is OP after he shows up in bot

1 damagign ability and i have never heard people compl about him before so in turn no he isnt to stong

damage isnt really what im worried about

People will complain about Fiddlesticks if you buff his movement speed by 1....Sigh complain about everything. He has ONE damage ability and if you're in range to get hit with it you deserve to be stunned. A silly passive wont make him broken...

it's almost like i'm not calling him op and just asking a question

also in a teamfight, you know like where an aoe stun is game changing, you kind of have to get in range of his q since he'll be close to the carries with that ult that stops them from dying. this silly passive can be what decides how bot lane goes and how much of a force the adc can grow into. imagine a draven and a vayne in lane and they're both farming equally but because draven has zilean with him he'll have the ult advantage giving him so much more threat in lane and globally

You understand Thresh Janna Tahm Ali exert some type on pressure of the enemy ADC, what is wrong if Zil can do the same? So little AP Utility Mages Can

No.

Unless they've MASSIVELY changed how his Q target selection functions, he still won't be able to reliably use that stun potential. His bonus XP passive has the potential to be a game changer, especially when you can throw it on snowballing champions to make them unstoppable. His ultimate has the same issue that GA has, in that by the time it's finished working the teamfight is usually over, and the lines of battle have likely shifted back, leaving your now-alive ally in the middle of their team.

i do hope he sees more play though, he's a really interesting champion
