You know there's going to be someone who freaks out if their favorite champ gets nerfs/changes. And the news of PBE is all tentative anyways, so it changes all the time. I feel like the news is more of a tease than anything. So, instead of creating unnecessary drama on the forums, why not just let people wait until the patch is released?
redniwediS1 votesPBE news fills the same role as Live Server news, it informs PBE players of changes. If someone does not play on the PBE and they freak out about a change that is only on the PBE it is their fault.
Bears Dont Care1 votesTo create the illusion of riot considering the communitoes.opinions when really, its just lcs matters.

People would still freak out when the actual patch was released, and their favorite champ was nerfed.

Yea well in your case we'd have to deal with it before AND after. In they stopped leaking information, we'd only have to deal with it AFTER the patch comes out, so overall less whining.
