"Just focus on what you can do better"

You know what? I get it, I'll be the first to admit that I'm not the best player. Hell, I'm probably very average. But I can't seem to get my head around this "focus on what you can do better" argument. Like holy shit, I'm doing the best I can every game. I'm literally trying. Watching my map. Trying to keep lanes ahead. But there's always something out of the ordinary that happens, something I'm not prepared for. Or some lane going 0/7 before I can have any impact. Why am I supposed to pretend like all of these things have absolutely no effect on whether or not I lose, then telling myself that only me improving will make things better? Maybe I am very frustrated, but idk how else to feel. When people tell me to just focus on myself, I honestly feel like my plea for find methods of improving my W/L ratio are just being dismissed.

I hate that saying too. I know on what I have to improve and what-not, but sometimes in games it actually IS NOT me and it is my team. Then I get the response that I should be able to fix all their problems and carry the game, I'm sorry but that is BS. I try my hardest every game, I do not give up, I keep positive, I do everything in my capabilities and my champions capabilities to turn the game for the better. But it doesn't change the fact my jungler is always trying to 1v2 in the enemy jungle, my adc is getting caught by their mid laner every 2 seconds, my top laner fails at split pushing, etc. Nothing I can do other than try for objectives and fail because my team prefers the grey screen over actually playing the game...

My thoughts exactly. That argument is honestly so frustrating and not even remotely a true solution

And to all of you arbitrarily downvoting this without even reading it, fuck you. You're a part of the problem
