Can we get an extension for Aatrox?

I only ever play him on the free week because I suck so bad with him, I am too nervous to spend IP on him, but I don't mind him when he is free! Seeing him disabled NOW of all times makes me very sad

As an Aatrox main, don't spend IP on him. There's always a better pick than him in every matchup.

I agree, but his passive is an instant tilt, nothing makes people do dumb things more than a 4-0 aatrox who has really died 7 times. Which is me, because I am terrible but it makes me feel good xD

There are so many things I could ramble on about concerning Aatrox's problems.

Concerning his passive, since that's what you brought up, it is much more of a hindrance than it is a benefit to his kit. Why? Because the rest of his kit HAS to be weak in order keep Aatrox from being overpowerd.

On top of that, it really isn't all that useful. All it does is delay your death a little, which would be awesome if it didn't leave you COMPLETELY DEFENSELESS whenever you revive. You lose all your bonus attack speed, your abilities probably aren't available because of how long their cooldowns are, and you usually revive with only a slimmer of heath, meaning you'll die instantly anyways.

Does it have it's benefits? Of course! You get a second chance to escape if you have your abilities available, you're difficult to dive, you can dive your opponent pretty easily, enemies get punished for focusing you in fights, and enemies can't kill you in your revive state like Anivia or Zac.

But, these lead him to be balanced accordingly; enemies either will have no reason to focus him because he doesn't do any damage, or they will just burst him before he does his damage because he will be super squishy, packing consistent damage instead of burst damage, and won't sport high mobility like assassins.

If they simply removed his passive entirely, he could be given better stats or a healthier kit, since Riot wouldn't have to balance him with his revive in mind.

I'd just like to bump this, Aatrox is still disabled, I am still sad and he probably won't be reenabled until free week is over. I JUST WANNA PLAY AATROX
