Can you not call it "style"?

They've revamped the "attribute system", more at Surrender@20.

I really like it. But can we come up with a name for "basic attacks vs. abilities" that isn't something misleading like "style"?

I know, I know, "ADCs are just clicking mechanics", "you're thinking of the wrong definition of style", but it looks like (even if it really isn't) anything on the left side of the slider is going to be considered having "a lack of style".

Just call it "method", make the fact that it's an axe more obvious (probably just by flipping the icon), and also make it a bow for ranged champions. This'll not only help inform of their melee or ranged status, but give a more accurate representation overall.

I don't think the implication is that abilities are a lot of style, and AA is a lack of style, but rather it's where people fall in the range of styles from an AA-centric style to an ability centric style. So far the the left is AA style and far to the right is ability style.

I know you probably realise that, but it took me a bit to realise that you were interpreting the bar as 'amount of style' rather than 'kind of style', so I'm not sure it'd be a broad issue. Besides that, people generally think to themselves that they like a certain "style" of champion, so that metric might possibly be useful to them, while people would probably not immediately think that they're looking for a champion who uses a particular "method".

Err... I'm pretty sure this is just referring to the fighting style of the champion, be it AD or AP. It's not a meter of how flashy they are (Ex: Soraka will be fully to the right style, and Riven will be fully to the left, and we both know how flashy they are in regards to each other.

Maybe if you're daft. Idk, I really can't see how this can be interpreted as a flashy-o-meter, and I feel like you are really nitpicking here.
