IKR. I remember either last year or a few years ago, someone played Veigar in the LCS. Then the boards had an uproar about how he was OP.

Now the problem is less about it being a nerf and more about him being more of a lane bully and an actual viable tank jungler.

I'm happy where he is but I know Riot isn't which is why I'm scared.

(Also his play rate has gone down since last patch so that might be a factor in his rising win rate)

And who f***ing needed a small increase of damage on champions when a Shen is not capable of trading almost anyone in top lane? With these changes bad matchups of Shen are now harder and the very few good matchups just bit easier.

Is now even worse. Don't forget we have a spell (W) with 18 seconds of cool down that offers no protection and does not serve any purpose against AP champions and spell-reliant champions. We have Q and R that scale on AP and since 100% of Shens can't buy AP we have zero scalings since 2010! Then we have E with 16 seconds of CD on level 1.

Moreover on paper Trinity, Forzen Heart and Frozen Gauntelt work very well on Shen but they give you tons of useless mana so our build path is always the same fu**ing boring thing...

Our damage and shield has been nerfed 2 times in a row but our base stats are the same and are very low. As if it wasn't enough there are tens of other reasons why Shen sucks. Shen is easy to counter, passively lose all lanes if his team is behind, in soloQ he sucks, his entire laning phase is a nightmare, he's the most inflexible champion ever created with the smallest item pool, 3 of his 4 spells don't scale with anything, 2 spells have 36 seconds of cool down combined, his Q, the only source of damage, is the easiest ability to counter with clunky mechanics. According to champion.gg until 3 patches ago he was the worst support and jungler, he's 41° of 57 as top laner, has lowest pick rate, ban rate and one of the lowest win rates since S4 constantly below 49%.

because shen Q damage went up by 30% against champion. I swear I got one hit by a single Q rotation at level 3 by a shen two days ago. dude 100-0 Me with taunt Q autos.

The ult nerf is still a nerf, particularly the cooldown. Its just that 45 damage per q from level 1 turns out so strong Shen doesn't need to farm under tower anymore.

Yeah, changes are pretty decent, still sad about that Ult nerf cooldown though. I'll take it for the Q changes and E buff however.

To be honest, My only concern is the tank Rework, not the change to Shen. Atleast 3 of his actual core item will have less HP, So this is an indirect nerf to a lot of Tank who have abilities that scale with HP ( Shen pasive ).
