All the preseason changes are nice, but we're just gonna see adc+tank supports..

I mean, the precision tree is really powerful and gives a lot of attackspeed. And then the resolve tree.. If we forget about the garbage Iron shell, mirror shell we see there's font of life which is basically a disgusting ardent censer made for tanks, there's guardian for a free powerful shield or grasp to stack health infinitely.. Revitalize for more powerful shields or overgrowth for more hp infinite stacking... And then just stack health that you have plenty of cause u go resolve (u can even get secondary celestial body) and get locket/knight's vow/face of the mountain and give your adc retarded shields, a new ardent scaling on your hp, and the natural disgusting cc and tankiness your kit naturally gives. Without forgetting all tank supps got +20 armor while other people got around +9 armor. Wow. But we can also talk about lethal tempo KogMaw no cap on attack speed for 6s, with font of life being on hit? I mean... Changes to the other classes are nice, but it's gonna be a tank/hypercarry adc meta all over again.

Oh boy, and people are whining about Enchanters and Ardent atm... At least you can burst Enchanters out of a fight... Wait till we get unkillable Leona's, Alistar's etc. running around and giving their entire team a free Health scaling "Ardent Censer - Tank Edition" with each CC they land on you...

The boards are gonna lose their shit, and i'll be right here to witness it in all it's glory... [sg-kiko]

Dear Riot

Please just give us a dispel mechanic. Pretty please.

God pls... knowing Rito they'd put it on some Assassin-esque item, and that's the last thing we need... Pretty fed up with a minimum of 2 item 3147 per team each game by now...

EDIT: I've even seen Sion top lane ignore going for anything remotely tanky and rush DB into full lethality/armor pen build cheeze...

Agreed. Its VERY powerful compared to everything else.

Hyperbole much; font of life is a current mastery. Not the same name, but the effect is the same as stoneborn pact.

Another case of hyperbole. 0.2% per 8 minions that die around you. 5 health per proc. Its an ultra late game thing - its not something to whine about.

All tanks, not just support tanks, get massively increased base armor. Its a good thing. "retarded shields" mean nothing when theyre on long cooldowns or have low bases. Tanks dont even itemize shield/heal; theres no way for them to do what youre describing AND most tanks get item 2303 over face of the mountain because its slot efficient and cheaper.

You sound a lot like an assassin or a marksman main crying because "its unfair tanks have such high base armor! i cant easily poke them out or all in them early game anymore!"...

To be fair though, only botlane tanks got +20 armor. Regular tanks got +8-9.

Well ofc it's an hyperbole but the changes are still very impactful. I don't see why a marksman would cry about tanks being strong, since they are one of the best class to protect adc. About font of life vs stoneborn pact, stoneborn pact is healing over time that doesj't stack with itself while font is on-hit, scaling much better with attack speed. There are gonna be cases that abuse it way more than others (kog lethal tempo coming immediately to mind, twitch tristana with high attack speed seem good too). Putting font of life as a healing over time like stoneborn would be wiser.

Not sure all tanks are getting +20 armor but I fear toplane is just also gonna be whoever picks a tank with health shield items. I might just play Sion thornmail locket face of the mountain knight's vow gargoyle stoneplate, lose lane but just stay near my adc and automatically win teamfights cause I protect him (well, hoping he took a hypercarry I guess). Hell I could take titanic if I want waveclear.

A potential solution would actually be to tone down marksmen, as tanks are not necessarily the problem, they can lose lane, have bad splitpushing etc. Hurt adc's base stats (especially the late game adcs) and maybe they won't dominate as much. Well adc's being Center of the meta is not new anyway. And yes i'm circlejerking x)

That's what you'd think from the tool tip, but it actually is split 40% on-hit and 60% as heal over time, which means it currently gives as much on-hit heal as font of life. http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/Stoneborn_Pact_(Season_2017_Mastery)

Because having two tanks run down and kill Jinx despite having another tank trying to frantically keep them off her is horrible?

itd be a nice break from the adc+healer support meta going on right now. although taric- kog bots seem disgusting(found out that exploding kog still gets to use tarics e....)

Well the scary thing is that tank supps now would have access to almost as many shields as enchanters, scaling on hp. And font of life might just be broken af. The health gain on hit is around the same values as ardent. So like, tank supps are gonna be like enchanters, but they keep the tankiness and cc.

Stoneborn pact already is like font if life with extras, and tank supports hardly will ever use grasp and if they do, they won't get much hp stacks from it as they only proc it in an all-in. And for the armor, it was VERY common to go heavy on flat armor runes for tank supports, so they get alot flat armor to compensate the loss of runes, and we've by far not seen all base stat compensations so it's way to early to call out supports for the huge armor buff since there are most likely lots of other basestat buffs that haven't hit PBE yet.

Ans encahnters get quite the nice stuff aswell, aerie gives quite alot aditional shielding, cdr, extra cdr on ult or extra mana sustain or burst protection, extra cdr or a good bunch of ap at high health, and most likely lots of free ap later on. they also can get revitalize with resolve as second, or go inspiration to get their stuff faster with either free boots or the credit, while also getting 5% extra cdr+cap on everything.

So far, i think tank supports might find their way back botton, but enchanters certainly will stay aswell, and adc stay as dominant as ever with some like kog and maybe vayne that really can abuse burst of speed beeing even stronger.
