The most frustrating part about hextech keys

Ambiguity. Instead of clear "you have earned 12 keys, a maximum for this month", it has no indicator, and possibly could leave you in anger that you play so much yet you get zero keys. False hope.

I think the problem that a lot of people have with Hextech keys is that , with the boxes , you have a limit and you see the limit , but you also know that if you played well (S+ , S or S-) , you WILL get a box. With the keys , however , it´s 100% random , and you have no clue if you are going to get one or not. I think that adding a feature where if you get a S+/- and you already have a box for that champion , you get a key fragment , if you didn´t reach the 12 of the month.

it´s 100% random Actually it is not. Although the # is unreleased Riot has stated that after a certain number of wins that you have not received a key you will be assured to get one as long as one is available.

they put in a check thing to make sure that if theres been a certain number of games since your last fragment, then it will give one to you.

Riot didn't have to make champs and skins available with Hextech crafting, complaing about the system sounds entitled to me. Not that anyone is very negative in this thread. I've bitched about riot before, taking away ip costs for runes and runes pages would be better generosity from Riot than Hextech crafting actually. But I'm not going to complain when i need a chest or key.

It's more of a quality of life thing. By making the process transparent, people can keep proper expectations. For this example, knowing whether a key is available would mean that a player wouldn't feel like they were "wasting time" trying to play to get one.

I'd agree with you normally, but here OP isn't asking for more keys, just asking for a bit of knowledge.

I always imagined them as this little bonus fun gift you get... like a toy with the meal. You don't buy a meal at McDonalds for the crappy plastic thingy (what is it?) you buy it because chicken nuggets are fucking amazing and your hungry.
