"assassins are trash in this meta, but they are also OP"

Most posts about assassins either say "assassins are not even viable because of the tank meta" or "assassins are able to jump in, deal a lot of damage, then jump out without any risk so they all need to be nerfed" I just wanted to point this out to say that everyone has different experiences in-game. Yes, if you play as an assassin in a game full of tanks, you are going to get rekt, and if you play a game against a fed kat (and you're not a tank) you are going to also get rekt. This does not mean that in every game assassins suck or that they are op, but for whatever reason, some people on the boards (i didn't say all people so chill) think this. I just wanted to make the point that because it happens to you doesn't mean it happens to everyone all the time.

lol akali is weak now i dont know why either its just that eveyrtime i see a akali the majority of the time it doesnt bode well for the team. as far as assassins are concerned i think it is more about people not building the items to counter the heavy tanks as in more armor get last whisper more mr get void staff more hp get botrk or liandrys. but what makes kat strong as opposed to other people is that her ult does so much damage and getting liandrys and rylais you burn through every one . sure i mean when i play as rengar i have no issue with tanks becuase i outdamage there defense to my offense

Defenses are weird in that if you're not a role that builds for it, for whatever reason the argument goes that it puts you further behind.

Probably because you need too much HP to make MR and armor worth anything, which means you're going at least two slots of defense or none at all.

To me there is no such thing as a meta only adaptation . but what your suggestion on what I said is to make your mid a bruiser which works bruisers are always good thing to do.

I feel like Assassins interact weird with the Tank meta. Yes, Tank does mean you have fewer targets to assassinate. Yes, their tanks can make it harder to get on their carries. And yet, they can, (keyword can) Work well with a tank. Because if your Tank engages the enemy team, especially if they have plenty of lock up. They will make it easier for you to dive behind the enemy line who's locked up.

Assassins are also favored compared to other midlaners due to the decreased value of Hyper farming, and the mana regen nerfs.
