Poll : do you prefer playing against point & click or modern overloaded kits?

I see a lot of incentive to "rework outdated kits" but I also see a lot of hate towards champion evolution in new kits/reworks, especially new ones that got damage, mobility and CC-creep in exchange of "more counterplay".

So that's why I'd like to know the opinion of everyone here. Do you prefer point & click kits but gated by good cooldowns and with no insane impact (like a pantheon stun) or very loaded kits with maybe mobility and selfpeel, but with less feeling of "I'm getting point & clicked"

(honestly I'm trying to write in a biased way as I personnally like simple limited kits over modern kits). But I wanted to know your opinion.

The stupid devs haven't figured out that simple design is a good thing because it requires you to strategize when you commit unlike this %%%got Ekko and this %%%got Yasuo who can pretty much outlane you and then dive the tower to kill you and escape without a hitch. It doesn't require more skill to play champs with overloaded/forgiving kits...its the other way around.

I prefer the older designs that helped drive home the Burst < DPS < Tank < Burst balance between champion classes. Sure that means you got silenced then murdered by Talon occasionally, but that's better than the state the game is in now.

Every design choice has consequences. And the consequence of adding outplay potential to all the Burst classes is that the equation now reads: Tank < DPS > Burst < Tank

Remember when Assassins were overtuned and it was: DPS < Burst > Tank < DPS?

That wasn't much fun, either.

depends on the kit, really. and depends who i am playing. i found old point and click cc was pretty obnoxious, like before the taric rework, it was a constant check of "in tarics range? get fucked kid"

On the flipside though, just because Blitzcrank has a "skillshit" doesnt make him any less of an unwelcome cockroach. I'd rather lane against old taric than blitzcrank.

by point and click he means no chance to dodge, like a panth W, those are aoe affects that can be avoided and arent point and click, only true ones are, wait, kass doesnt have HARD cc, nor talon, hard cc is unable to control ur champ, not slows, only 2 ppl that fit on that list are rammus and eve, maybe sion at point blank range

Very Hard Engage1 votes

you completely missed the mark.

all of those champions had their unmitigated unpreventable cc abilities removed. (except rammus, his was just dumpstered)

cho gath used to be smaller but instant.

sion and taric stuns were single targeted and unpreventable.

kass talon lb and viktor all had their silences removed.

Most people are currently voting "Old point&click simple kits".. [sg-miss-fortune] better rework Irelia

like a pantheon stun, bad example, pantheon is a busted af champ, and his stun isnt even THAT long a cd, as well as gives you a free passive and leeway to E Q chunk them for stormaiders

edit, just read the part where u say ur biased, well then, your being too bias by using panth as an example, maybe ryze

Pantheon stun is a dash, a stun, and a refresh on his passive. That's pretty loaded if you ask me. Regardless, I prefer champs with counterplay, to those that just point and click. If we are going by the most recent champs, I'd take Camille, Kled, and TK over the likes of Trynd, Kayle, and Twitch.
