Do the people that complain about ADC actually play this game?

It's not nearly as bad as it was before, it used to be every other post was complaining about them, but still people do think ADC is some broken role that will never ever be balanced, and honestly, do the people who say that actually play League?

Some ADC's outperform others, but thats the same with every role and lane in the game, its just how it works,

The main champs i see get meme'd on h a r d 24/7 are Twitch Tristana Vayne ( sometimes MissFortune) and i wanna talk about some things that people blatantly ignore in regards to ADC (and squishies in general for that matter)

  • 90% of the time when an ADC gets hit by any form of CC in a team fight, unless they have some godly frontline or peel, they're as good as dead, like have you ever been hit by a Morg Q as a squishy in a team fight? that shit feels like you actually age a year as soon as it hits you, especially on ADC's that have no form of escape or dash, and yes item 3140 exists, but we're at the point where every new champ has some form of CC, its rare that you get into a game where not 4/5 champs on the other team have some form of hard CC.

  • How much damage everything does, now ADCs are used as the "OP 1 shot roles" like theres no counter play to auto attacks, even tho there is and everyone uses it lol, but ill get into that later, but seriously,

Malzahar walks up and uses his E, thats 40%-50% of your HP gone with the normal build Jayce just him in general tbh Chogath Tank or AP, pretty much doomed if he lands 1 ability Yasuo (i dont have a problem with this champ at all, i find him fun to play against) but he 2 shot me the other day from full, so that was cool Veigar standard mage build = 400-600 AP at 20 mins, pretty much instantly die from Q-R or W-R Lux beam me harder daddy, 50% of your HP gone with just the ult Jax (recently past 2-3 days) good g o d he hurts, idek know what it is, but jesus hagen Darius and Garen oh my gentle jesus, what ungodly things these champs are, tanky as hell and borderline one shots, and booty blasting you with true damage, execute ults, and the h e a l i n g Zoe last but not least, this beast of an 8 year old, if she lands one of her 4 low CD abilities, you're as good as dead, like seriously she puts you to sleep in game, and hits you so hard it puts you to sleep irl, like what is this creature

there's more champs, but you get the gist of it, ill even meme on ADC for you to make it seem less biased

MissFortune if she goes lethality and the q bounce kills something, you're doomed and if she channels a full good ult, it can kill an entire team Tristana she takes towers too quickly, and her CC cancelling jump is stupid Ezreal idk what this man is, but he ruins everything Vayne i GET why people hate the the true damage, i dont like it on any champs, it shouldn't be in the game imo, but i find the invisibility to be more annoying

But i still find ADC to be almost the least of this games worries in terms of balance, some people's main argument is "its obvious they're broken, since there has to be one in every game" well yeah, but there should also be a tank and someone with AP in the game, its about creating a well rounded comp, having a front line, ranged damage, close range damage, CC and peel is a sure way to win if you can play the game and comp properly,

But also there's always exceptions with like Lucian / Corki mid, or Vayne / Quinn top, and typically those are cheese picks that win lane but get out scaled.

Same can be said about Malzahar support, Zyra support, Lux support, Vel'koz support, Veigar support, Brand support, and Zoe support, because mages get a lot of damage from almost no items, and for a long time bot lane was exclusively squishies, it was easy to abuse the lane, but usually get outscaled without a huge lead.

still things like, Yasuo bot, Ziggs bot, Azir bot (this is fun as hell 5/7 would recommend) GP bot, Ori bot, Talon/Zed bot, Jayce bot, and Pantheon bot are still seen (rarer but still seen) because again, these champs can abuse squishes and can take off and become borderline unstoppable from an early lead, but without it they're useless.

  • For the last point i want to talk about Tanks, this is a sensitive topic for some people, because they live in a weird dream world where " i had 300 armor and 4000 HP, and an ADC killed me in 2 seconds" like nah fam, i have NEVER come close to nuking a tank like that and have never been nuked like that as a tank, pretty much as soon as anyone gets item 3047 and an item with health in it, an ADC loses a good portion of their damage.

Some people also seem to think that tank items are impossible to buy and useless when it comes to ADC's but seriously, any 1-2 of these will make an ADC feel like they're slapping you with a wet noodle, and theres a good chance you can kill them way before they kill you :

item 3047 item 3143 item 3083 item 3025 item 3075 item 3068 (sometimes sunfire even tho its a little weak rn) hell, even some items like item 3065 item 3194 work well cause of kog/corki and also health / healing helps a lot more than people seem to notice.

Plus again tanks get a random amount of insane damage like, Cho'Gath, Garen, Darius, Ornn, Leona, Shen, Nasus (this one kinda makes sense, still insane tho) Gragas, Galio, Tahm Kench, Maokai, Rammus and even some times people like Voli, Singed, Sion and sometimes Malphite, but those seem to be more situational.

Sorry for rambling and ranting, i hope this lets you guys see things from an ADC perspective, i tried not to be biased, but be honest how i feel. I still play tanks, and i play alot of assassins / mages in mid, and i ADC, so i do a bit of everything, but the problem with this game as of now isn't only on ADC, its in some way or another in every role and lane in the game, the game isn't balanced, and some things stick out more than others.

What do you think is the main problem with league atm?

EDIT: its really messy, and i suck at making things look neat so hopefully its still readable and not too bad lol

Cho, Garen, Darius, Shen, Voli and Nasus are not tanks. For fuck sake, I seriously wish people's arguments for tanks doing too much damage would stop pointing fingers at JUGGERNAUTS and saying "Look! They do too much damage!". Cho isn't classified as a Jugg, but he certainly isn't classified as a tank, and Shen is more of a fighter than a tank (less CC should and does equal more damage. You need to stay relevant throughout the game somehow).

As for Ornn, not even close. Ornn's damage requires him to be right on your face, and it also hinges on him being able to auto you after landing W. His W does NOT slow you. In fact, it slows HIM. In lane, that means that as long as you walk away from him and don't let him hit his easy to read Q, he will never be able to proc W, which is a large amount of his damage.

Cho and Shen are tanks.

Cho was made from a time when the champ class was rather loosely defined, or at least didn't have as much of a structured framework as it does now, and so some of the older champs don't really fit well into the current balance format and require some changes here and there for a more defined identity. Cho was actually originally meant to be a mage in the similar vein as Vlad, that can get EXTREMELY tanky over the course of the game. Atm, Cho has a couple identity issues in the current design direction, which is why he currently has supreme survivalbility, okay-ish damage (with the occasional nuke), but also many CCs, hence not really fitting into any of the general notion of the classes. In the near future though, he would probably either be rebalanced into either a Juggernaut or a Battlemage which means he would probably lose something either in Q or W, but he won't become a tank, because otherwise it would most likely mean he has to lose his R nuke (and the "growing up" bit) which is the most integral part of his thematic identity.

Shen was never a real tank, he has always been a tanky duelist with a teleport, an identity he has kept with the rework. Just think of him as Trundle, they have pretty relateable fighting philosophy outside of their ulti anyway.

i would totally agree, if juggernauts didnt get as tanky as tanks, but deal as much damage as damage dealers.

They need to either be tanky and do minimal damage, meet in the middle and be kinda tanky / kinda do damage or do damage and not be tanky,

you can say " Cho, Garen, Darius, Shen, Voli and Nasus are not tanks " but until they stop playing exactly like tanks with too much damage, im calling them tanks.

and with the Ornn thing, that could be said about everything in the game, Xerath doesn't hurt you if you dodge his abilities, Jinx doesn't hurt you if you're not in range to get auto'd, Nasus cant hurt you if you walk away from his Q. That's an insanely stupid argument, Ornn has no problems getting his W off, it can slow him all it wants, but if you're trying to CS, he can walk up and use it to hit you and CS or just run at you, exact same with any tank.

Tanks are not defined in this game by being able to take damage. They are defined by their aggro drawing and CC. Saying Juggernauts should not be able to tank as much damage as they do for how much damage they do is asinine. That is what they are designed around. They have no mobility, barely any CC, and middling ways to sustain themselves in lane.

You can call champions who aren't tanks tanks, but you won't get much mileage here that way.

Oh, one more thing. I love how whenever somebody gives you ways to avoid getting shit on by a champion, they don't go, "Oh thanks, I'll keep that in mind later", they go "YOU COULD SAY THAT ABOUT EVERY CHAMP." Yes, I could. And I do. It's why I don't get shit on in lane often.

That's exactly the problem, that's how tanks should be defined, being able to be hard to kill to make up for virtually no damage, and im not saying juggernauts SHOULDN'T be able to, im saying they shouldn't be able to, to the extent that they can.

Almost all Juggernauts can out tank a tank, out sustain tanks / almost all bruisers (if not all) and out damage a majority of damage dealers, and i agree, i was wrong and there is a difference, but it just seems the difference is that Juggernaut is a tank with way too much damage.

And i never said Ornn shits on me, but saying "walk away" from someone who has reliable CC and ranged poke / all in tool, is as stupid as saying every example i gave, Ornn's W works exactly like rumbles Q, you can use it to harass and CS, and if you're fighting him as a melee champ or in a teamfight, he's going to get it off regardless.

"Not as bad as before" is quite simply one of the worst defenses anyone could come up with. Getting shot with a .22 isn't as bad as getting shot with a 12 gauge, but you still would still have gotten shot, and would still be just as dead.
