Jax enters a "defensive" stance...

Except he can also leap on top of you and stun you while in this "defensive" stance. Defensive my @ss. Why is Jax able to play aggressively while also being immune to auto attack damage and taking reduced aoe damage? This champion's broken as f*ck and has been ever since he was released years ago.

Because it doesnt block abilities and it has a long cooldown maybe? Imagine if he couldn't do anything while in Counterstrike, he would be useless against caster champions.

He does take reduced damage from AoE abilities while in Counterstrike. Also, if he reactivates the stun early, then he also ends the damage reduction/dodge early and loses out on a good portion of the ability’s power.

Long cooldown my booty. Just watch Jax build SoS and helicopter around the fight destroying everything in siggt

So it's not Jax, it's item 3161 fault. Watch combo champions like Riven or Renekton build Spear and chain their abilities endlessly.

No it's not just spear of shojin. Jax had stupidly short cooldowns even before this item was introduced.

But jax isn't even a strong champion right now

52.6% winrate with a whopping 14.6% playrate say otherwise.

You are misinterpreting the winrate statistic. Champions aren't nebulous, there is, objectively, a list of things that they can and cannot do. Specific, hard coded and inflexible values. Jax is only pseudo strong champion in yolo queue and at specific ranges of player skill. As a champion, he's actually garbage right now and that is a fact :)

...Colton, is that you?

By your logic, mid ashe was good in season 1 because of her high playrate and winrate. She was actually garbage and as players got more familiar and got better that became more and more obvious.

Long cooldown, short range, and jax himself is easily bullied early.

LOL no he isn't. Jax just enters the defensive stance and negates said bullying. His early game damage is nothing to laugh at either.

Most Jax's put first point into counterstrike at one and max it LAST...and that is a 16 second cooldown without items. And his early game is weak compared to most early bullies, especially if top lane is to be considered. And Jax top does have a 47% win rate at 20-25 minutes, and jg Jax doesn't have a 50% winrate until around 10 minutes. And he shuts down pretty hard.

Champion.gg says 51% winrate for both Jax top and jungle.

That's in general, and check winrate by game length. Plus, that's pretty average.[slayer-jinx-unamused]

No one gives a sh*t about game length. Overall winrate is the only thing that matters.

In that case, your argument is invalidated by the sheer generality of 51%. Repost when his winrate is greater than 60%. Also, game length is important given some champions have bigger power spikes at late game than others (Jax is one of them).

That makes no sense whatsoever.

Any champion can have a 49-51% winrate; it's not SIGNIFICANT enough to complain about or use to backup an argument. Did that clarify it?

Thing I hate about Jax is, low cd ultimate that give him armor/magic resist if he build AD/AP wich is dumb. It's stat check and just dumb to be a pseudo tank in 1 button press. New item 3172 iteration proposed by Riot isn't good either. Jax will be the number 1 abuser . His build will be like this most likely , item 3748 item 3078 item 3047 item 3161 item 3053 item 3172 and he is more tanky than an actual tank while shredding your team with ease. Riot keep buffing Jax item lately , same for Riven .
