There is literally no way to compensate for someone who lost their lane to a Veigar, you're too weak to group because they lost their lane, and it's too early to have a Veil.
If both teams have an equally fed carry, but one carry is Veigar, he shouldn't automatically win the game with no chance for counter play. It should be possible to compensate.
This is stupid. At least add some counter play that doesn't involve building a Veil as your first item.

DrCyanide1 votesVeigar can only burst one person at a time, maybe two if they are close together and he has DFG up and is feed. Pile onto him and he'll melt.
Alternatively, if you're in the center of his stun and you have a long dash, as soon as you see the W falling, use your dash to get out. Being stunned and out if range for him to do anything is better than never being stunned but dying.
If you are in a position where you are going to die no matter what, try to not give the kill to Veigar. Him getting the kill gives 5 to 7 AP bonus, while an assist gives nothing.
The other thing you can do is bait Veigar. Every Veigar wants to use that ult on a nice, fed AP carry. Consequently, if your APC is in sight Veigar will try to save his ult for them. If they can Zhonya's while it's mid flight they'll take away a lot of his burst.
If you really want to mess around with a Veigar, play
