Quick note on Duskblade of Drakthar Gold Efficiency

So here is the calculation of the gold value. For reference, AD is 35 gold per point, armor pen is 40 gold per point, and % movement speed is 39.5 gold per point.

75 * 35 + 5 * 39.5 + 10 * 40 = 3222.5 gold

Divide that by its actual value, 3250 gold, and you get 99% gold efficiency with that ridiculous passive.

I've done the math, you're welcome, the item is in fact broken.

If they dropped the gold efficiency to around 85% I think it'd be balanced. It needs to pay for the passive.

It's actually way cheaper on the PBE and I checked just yesterday. It's stupid broken.

It's supposed to be broken. Riot wants an item that they can easily hit when they need to nerf or buff assassins as a class and if they all buy this item then changing this item changes all of them.

yeah but assassins will be broken. making things broken is not a way to balance them

It actually is. You need to find where "too strong" and "too weak" are before you can land in the middle.

well you should aim for the middle, and it's clearly not there right now. there's nothing wrong with it being strong, but there is a problem with it being ridiculously overpowered

That assumes that Dusk blade is completely stat binded to the Assassin class. Yet I can see this working on just about any Burst AD. (When the likes of Graves can get off 2 shot gun blasts, end of the line, and ult, withing 2 seconds.)

But if other champs can purchase the item because of how stat efficient it is. Then it would be broken, without even serving as a primary lever for Assassins.
