@Riot 70% Win Ratio with only 15-17 LP per win

Hi Riot,

Can we get some clarity on LP gains after placements?

As the title explains, I'm getting very low LP gains per win even though I have a good win ratio. Why this is happening? Since the season just reset I don't see how much MMR can be messed up yet?

I finished gold 5 last season and I'm only silver 2 right now. When I was silver 4 and 3 I was receiving even less (14-15 LP per win).

Meanwhile I'm hearing that most people above Diamond 4 have shot up to masters with +30/-3 LP ratios and people are 400+ points into master with only 40% win rates and have never been ranked in masters previously.

I believe your rank is high for your MMR. Look at your games. You seem to be the highest ranked player in all your games. Even your current game you are in right now you are Silver 2 vs Silver 3 and unranked players. Some of your games even have Bronze players. The system doesnt believe you are at your right rank.

Any idea how this could happen already? Doesn't the season reset clear this type of discrepancy? Also I've been gold, plat, plat, gold the past 4 years. Not sure how it would think I'm not supposed to be silver 2.

I'm not doubting your logic I'm just wondering, if it is this, how it ended up like this
