Can the enemy Illaoi's tentacles like not spawn directly behind friendly turrets..?

It's sometimes really hard to click on it if it spawns directly behind your turret. It's kinda BS when you are hugging your turret after getting cursed and you gotta spend a good few seconds trying to click on and kill this damnable tentacle while it chunks away a good portion of your health.
