When Will We See the Release of Another Crowd Control Focused Mage/Support Caster?

I feel like Malzahar is the closest thing we have as of now to something like this. We don't really have too may crowd control focused Mages and Supports anymore after many tweaks and reworks. All of them are either Tanks or really used more for their damage/healing or shielding than crowd control. I want to play as a Mage/Support that doesn't bring damage, durability, or utility to the battlefield, but pure control. I want to be able to control the battlefield with precision. As of now, no one REALLY does this.

EDIT: I like the responses. Just like "What? No damage? Or a way to heal my damage dealer? What use are they then!?"

So you want a champ that does legitimately nothing but still somehow controls the battlefield?

You just decribed Taliyah

I'm pretty sure Taliyah deals a ton of damage and the main purpose she is so good is her roaming potential and EW combo.

SHe is listed as a control mage, her entire kit revolves around repositioning the enemy and denying space. Shes like rock anivia

I don't think Control Mage is something Riot uses to describe a champion's role anymore. Closest thing is Catcher, which I really don't believe Taliyah is. Plus, the way she denies space is with damage mostly (come near here and you die). That's not at all what I mean when I say crowd control focused Mage. I mean someone who mainly provides crowd control with little damage, which isn't Taliyah.

no thanks, they're awful to play against

Orianna Lissandra Anivia when good replace burst mages because they can 100-0 efficiently while also having the CC and low cooldown rotations to chew up bruisers and tanks

doesn't bring any of these things but still somehow acts as a control threat

just play a support then

What Support does that stuff that isnt a Tank though?

By definition, Taliyah is crowd control based, because the majority of her kit has cc, and shes a mage.

Mages by their core definition do /damage/ even if the damage zones, bursts, melts, whatever.

A mage that doesnt do any damage is just kind of a silly concept
