can we make garens spin work like urgots w?

and make spin ticks apply on-hit effects for 33% damage?

apparantly since every support ability has to be taylored to marksmen now, there are some support effects out there that add on-hit damage and attack speed to allied champions.

would be nice if garen could at least partially benefit the same way from support and gain the on-hit damage effects off abilities and item passives like the changed ardent censer.

would also make item 3077 items a fun item option.

I disagree. There is one major difference in my opinion...

Urgot W still makes him auto attack a single person and which person is attacked follows rules.

  1. If a champion is marked by Q or E, Urgot will focus this champion.
  2. If no target is marked, Urgot will attack the closest enemy unit.

That doesn't apply to Garen. His spin is simply AoE damage. And don't tell me you want these on-hit effects applied in an Aoe, because even with 33% strength, stuff like Tiamat would be damn busted as long as there is more than 1 target...

urgot w makes him attack a single target, but most of his damage comes from his passive, which is aoe.

the tiamat effect could simply be centered on garens hitbox himself. it doesnt really matter how many champions he hits, since it would only trigger once per spin tick.

Yes, Urgot's shotgunknees are AoE. But as far as I know, the on-hit effect is not applied in that AoE. It just applies to the 1 target Urgot is attacking. The AoE damage of his shotgunknees is just overlaying.

Even without Tiamat, it would make Garen apply on-hit effects in an AoE. Tiamat might work, next problem, how about BotrK? It deals %health damage and heals you based on that. If that applies in an AoE, good luck killing Garen as long as there are any targets available for him.

You see what I mean? I just see too many balancing problems with the ability to apply on-hit effects in an AoE and his spin is lasting quite some time....

bork could apply for 33% to all targets. it might look crazy on the surface, but the fact that items overall stats are actually pretty garbage for him would balance it back out. it wouldnt really do much more than 40 ad + its passive.

a ton of its gold value is in attack speed and lifesteal, which is wasted on garen for the most part. compared to other items, which add ad/health it would be gimmicky and might work, but not stronger.

the full damage would be 3 bork ticks over the course of an entire 3 second spin. thats not crazy.

it definitely doesnt seem to be a problem with item 3085 which applies on-hit effects to multiple targets aswell, and item 3124 double hit passive.

so multiple bork procs per second against multiple targets dont seem to be an issue for riot, or theyd disable this interaction.

and garen would only manage to get 1 proc per second against 2 or 3 targets in a short window. you never really get the chance to spin on 5 people anyways. especially not a full spin.

if this makes spellvamp garen able to dive in even harder, then i'll vote for it.

i mean. spellvamp already applies to his spin. allowing it to trigger on hit effects wouldnt change anything in regards to spellvamp.

but its more damage and then its more damage he can heal from.
