Pure tanks

Does anyone have any tips for dealing with these guys without playing Vayne or Trundle?

There's nothing harder for me to deal with than a pure tank rushing my face and killing my team with his innate damage. It just seems to me like the items at my disposal for killing them are really weak , and rarely is my team able to peel these guys off the carries, as they can usually soak up an entire team's worth of cc damage and still manage to dive the back-line and claim a kill or two.
