Probably the most pointless change I have ever seen on a PBE patch

DeusVult·11/13/2019, 1:45:01 AM·49 votes·15,211 views

Adaptive bonus lowered from 1.2 AD/2 AP to 0.6 AD/1 AP Complete collection amount increased from 10 eyeballs to 20 eyeballs Eyeballs per takedown increased from 1 to 2

In either scenario, it takes 10 kills to get to max stacks and both give 12 AD / 20 AP at max stacks You get 2 eyeballs per "takedown" (kill/assist) so it still takes 10 "takedowns"

Does anyone at the balance team actually look over each others work, or do you guys simply not believe in reducing fractions

Think about it.

People have two eyes.

Collecting only one is just wasteful.

They want to nerf adaptive force, not eyeball collections. By cutting adaptive force's value in half but doubling the amount of adaptive force that eyeball collection gives, they've nerfed the one without nerfing the other. In case you're wondering, eyeball collection isn't the only thing that utilizes adaptive force, and this nerf will impact the passive runes as well as certain keystones such as conqueror.

It's kind of like when they nerfed Graves by 3 AD, and then a couple patches later they were like "Hmm, we notice Graves is under performing... 3 AD should do the trick!"

This literally happened earlier this season and it makes me think that their balance team is kind of like the U.S Government, where they just have absolutely no clue how to fix any of the problems they're faced with so they just invent pointless work to make themselves look busy.

Doesn’t only give one stack per ward and assist? If anything it seems like their nerfing it so people pick poro and zombie ward more

Wards still give 1

I'm guessing it's a WIP change that's supposed to work with other changes.

Maybe they want to reintroduce stacks on ward kills.

This just adds pointless inconsistencies between this and the other two runes. New players aren't going to immediately recognize that the stats are the same among the three; it adds pointless effort for those who don't yet know the rune to study them more.

This is a revert as well, it used to be 20 stacks.

The only clever thing about Adaptive force and Stack changes were at Conqueror, where Melee champions stack the same while Ranged champions stack it twice less, so they can both keep the stacks for the same duration.

Now THAT's what I'd like to see more often, THAT type of clever thinking.

every single patch is full of pointless changes
