How do people play in Silver? This is more or less a luck game against Riots matchmaking.

It's not that the games aren't winnable by normal means - I've already rose five divisions since my original placement. It's that the games at this tier have 0 consistency - your fighting the matchmaking system not other players.

I get that Silver is where most placement games take place but I'm often spending up to 10-14 minutes (Up from the 3-4 last season) trying to get into a match from people not locking in there choices. Why there's 16 chances for a match not to start is beyond me...

There's been two Afks on my team over the last two games alone (Enemy team has had 3). I'm not 100% complaining a few of my wins this season have been handed to me by the matchmaking system alone... but ranked shouldn't be based on flipping a coin to see if everyone's going to be there. It's a huge issue in Silver right now with people making new accounts for ranked/trying to get a better initial placement and since Riots ban policy promotes creating throwaway accounts if you get banned... there's little to no care.

Yes, the ladder system is broken from a combination of things. I try to suggest some things in a post I just placed titled, 'Support and Ranked'.

The game completely feels like luck at the moment, and I'm not lucky. lololololol

Heres a link to the post, please jump aboard and maybe we can make a difference, lol. Support and Ranked - Suggestions for the ranked ladder system

I mean its not that hard to get out of silver if your past silver skill level i ended gold 4 last season and did promos this season was placed in silver 5 and now im climbing through plat about to be plat 4 so if your past silver skill you should climb pretty easily.

That's the thing I have made it out of Silver before. I've won my lane the last 4/5 matches and have burnt through tiers since my placement. The issue is not winning against people in Silver, it's that this current season is so snow-bally and can practically end from one loose end. Play a 4 vs 5 in ranked and even if your teams great, your playing at a huge handicap. Throw people playing there first ranked ever on your team... and lala if you go Bot and win your most likely going to have a 0-9 top/vise versa.

Trust me even in plat and dia+ these issues are still there maybe less but they are still there. Hell ill even tell you theres a few times where i just get dumpstered on and go 1-12 lol but i try to stay in the game through farm. So yea ive had this xin preach about how hes learned to accept games end at 3 mins just cuz mid game first blood like whattt.

Yup. Just had a game where our 1/12/3 Varus couldn't understand that he shouldn't go anywhere near their 18/1/8 Vayne.

In their defense, Vayne was either smurfing or scripting, activating QSS as soon as a stun hit her. She never activated it too early that I saw, never being stunned for even a quarter of a second, reactions that Silver players don't have.

I make scores of mistakes, and have things I know I need to improve on. But lately it feels like I can't get a team that's all on the same page. I'm OK if my teammates completely miss skillshots, CS like crap, or overstay trying to get another objective. Those are the kind of mistakes I expect my peers to make. But I feel like lately I've been getting a ton of players with no concept of positioning or what fights to take. Had one team pull it together later game, and we made an amazing last stand, but we all know how snowbally the game is and it was too little too late. Add smurfs into the mix and who knows what the teams will be like.
