Would we be able to avoid "Pay to Win" bonuses creeping into future events?

I was under the impression store purchases were only cosmetic and never meant to influence gameplay. Then why does the Golden Spatula Club include a non-cosmetic feature that increases win % rates?

An additional reroll in a game mode called "All Random" isn't random, especially when you can stack this bonus in premades to trade an additional 5 champions.

This is a game mode that can be won or lost depending on team comps out of your control and you're giving players the option to manipulate those odds with $.

ARAM was never random to begin with, as Riot refuses to make the entire roster available to the players in order to achieve true randomness and the result is that it is infested to the brim by "ARAM only" accounts.

I guess Riot just finally took and plunge and just roll with it.

it is pretty strong. a team of 5 spatula members vs 5 non spatulas have an insane amount of rerolls. its pretty game winning and pay to win in a sense.

Watch them sell ARAM rerolls by end of season ;).

Most RGMs aren't AR, so I wouldn't really expect this kind of thing to happen again.

Odyssey: Extraction ALSO had pay-to-win options in the store (you could buy bundles with Augments in the last week or two), but as a PvE mode, that's fine.

if you own all champs you're getting a reroll a game anyway... i don't think it's ptw at all.
