Should I get Sion or Nautilus?

I main . My other best champs are

I'm learning . I'm also looking for a tank with cc to add to my champ pool.

I want a tank that brings good cc, has some complexity, and is fun. I want a tank that has effective abilities, as opposed to being auto attack based. Auto attacks are fine but I want someone who doesn't feel like their effectiveness revolves around spamming auto attacks.

I like and but can't decide between them. Which one should I get?

[Edit] I'm probably Silver 4 or 5, and this isn't my main role anyways, so my primary focus is on having a fun tank.

Sion has very unreliable but very effective CC when landing properly. Having a potential 5 man knock up on a basic ability alone is amazing, having two abilities that do this is awesome.

He also has ways to harass his opponents, making him workable in a ranged meta.

Nautilus can work very well, but Sion really rewards you for taking the time to learn him.

He relies a little on his auto, but I wouldn't play support without him (now that they murdered Blitz).

Sion if you plan on Top, Nautilus if Supporting.

Nautilus is more consistent and reliable, but Sion is IMO more rewarding if you can land his skills. If you hate Vayne, Nautilus counters her pretty hard, but Sion is more flexible in terms of roles he can play. Naut also tends to get nerfed more often when he's strong.

Based on your normal champion pool, Nautilus would probably be more your speed, due to his AP scaling and kit reliability. He deals more burst damage than Sion with hardly any AP items built.

Maybe I'm biased here but I prefer Sion. He has a little less CC but he is probably one of the hardest tanks to kill (and when they kill you, you don't even die.) Nautilus is fun and easy, but I feel like if you can learn Sion he can do a lot more.
