Wrong Ashe Nerf and the Real Problem with the Character

Ashe has always been a nuisance to deal with in the bottom lane and in team fights in general. But the problem wasn't with her W, which actually allowed her to do good poke damage. The problem remains solely with that ridiculous passive of her's which makes her far too strong, nailing even one hit slows you down and prevents you from escaping when she hits you with more or making any real counter-play. Ashe's passive forces players to fight desperately so her onslaught of constant slowness and damage is put to an immediate end.

Ashe's W was not the issue here as I've already stated, the problem is that her passive grants every one of her shots the ability to apply a slowness debuff to her targets.

WRONG NERF W cost increased.

We're nerfing Ashe's early game harass so she feels a little more compelled to capitalize on the slow rather than throwing it out mostly for harass damage. W - Volley COST50 mana ⇒ 70 mana

Frost Shot Ashe's attacks slow their target, causing her to deal increased damage to these targets.

Ashe's critical strikes deal no bonus damage but apply an empowered slow to the target.

The problem with Frost shot is the fact it applies slowness to her target's constantly without any real conditions that need to be met for such a powerful ability. Other characters that do apply slowness usually have them on abilities with cool-downs, but Frost Shot is a passive with no cool-down what-so-ever and is relentless. Too alleviate this, I suggest applying a condition that forces Ashe to have to hit her targets with 3 constant attacks (except for her Q which will not be able to apply the passive) for the debuff to apply. As a way to balance this out, Ashe should receive a very slight damage buff so she can still be presence within the lanes.

If this doesn't work, I'd honestly like to ask someone to provide a decent alternative and if none can be found, well then I'd suggest the nuclear option of completely reworking/replacing the passive entirely.

the nerf of the mana cost on W makes it where she cant use it in lane as often and get free poke.

also it prevents the aoe slow of her w as well making her more vulnerable

she pays for that slow with absurdly poor scaling, and her lane harass is gimped with her only damaging ability much more restrictive in use.

Considering the impact it had on pick/WR,it was certainly correct

Make her Q and E cost mana. Problem solved.
