Looking at these Skarner changes, I might just be dropping out of every game that has Skarner in it.

If I'm reading correctly, Skarner spawns 6 points on the map that allow capture from both the team and the enemies.

If my team captures it for our Skarner, only HE gets a buff in the radius.

If the enemy team captures one (which since 6 of them spawn and they spawn by red, blue, baron and dragon) they get gold.

Am I the only one that sees this as just more potential strength for the enemy if your Skarner isn't constantly up their A#$?

Sorry, but I don't want a champ on my team to offer the enemies and easier win.

Good thing I only play Teambuilder. Hate to drop out of a game that's already started.

The 2 points in the enemy jungle cannot be captured by them until Skarner/his team have captured them at least once. The only two the enemy can easily get early are the 2 river pit ones, and if Skarner is inside that area the enemy better run (massive MS + AS boost, massive mana regeneration). Even then, capturing one just gives a 10 second ward and 15 gold; very unlikely to be that helpful for the effects, as it is used more to lock Skarner out of his huge power spike inside the area.

Better drop out of every singe Rek'Sai, Heimerdinger, and Yorick game too.

I hate when my enemies get a huge gold advantage and win just because of Tunnels, Turrets, and Ghosts.

While it's true that those give gold when destroyed, what's not true is that they won't always be right in the enemy's jungle at all times for them to take at will.

Unless you're constantly retaking the shrines in their jungle, they cannot recap it.

It gives +15 gold each capture, so there's no way one team can build an advantage off of the shrines alone.

At most, one team has a 15 gold lead per shrine, because think about it.

Point's neutral. One team caps it. +15 advantage. Other team takes it. +0 advantage. Your team retakes it. +15 advantage. Other team takes it. +0 advantage.

They will never cap it twice in a row.

Aside from what other people have mentioned, you should realize that it's not a steady source of gold right? Skarner's team has to take the points back before they can be recaptured for more gold.

But the question is, "If this is an added mechanic to the game, what makes having Skarner on your team better than having any other jungler?"

Because, correct me if I'm wrong, isn't Skarner also getting a MS and AS debuff on the patch that gives him that passive? As a way of balancing it out? At that point, he doesn't just want those points, he needs them.
