not like anyone even uses spell vamp runes anyway, if they do it's very very rarely on certain champs

Only reason spell vamp wasn't totally removed is so rito wouldn't have to refund 6k worth of runes to everyone that owns spellvamp runes

THat's like one champion guys. Imagine everyone owning taliya or whatever her name is

Rito can't afford to miss out on the new champ money

so the useless runes are here to stay unfortunately :(

Riot refunded Dodge seals when dodge was removed as a stat so your point is null. That was actually more IP value than the Spell vamp quints. They could very well remove them and refund later, it's not like they've said they won't ever do it.

And that means what? They've already proven if they decide to outright remove a stat that has a rune they will just refund them. I don't usually defend Riot, but man is this something stupid to complain about. 6,000 IP is nothing, even if you only play a couple of games per day.

Lee Sin W
Ryze ult
Death's Dance (don't pull the "not technically Spell Vamp" thing - if you want to say that, WOTA didn't have Spell Vamp either)
Hextech Gunblade (same as above)

It's still in the game.

they'd likely go bankrupt if they did taht so that's why SV is still around cus the runes exist

no runes=they remove sv from anyone cu they can

runes=we are stuck with SV on a few passives cus they don't wanna give the next champion to everyone

Or, they could just give everyone who has them the amount of RP they spent on the runes to buy something else. It's not like they could use it on anything else. So Riot loses, .. nothing.

...No. Just, no...

Runes aren't that expensive. They can refund the ip cost easily. You even said it yourself, not everyone uses spellvamp runes. So it wouldn't be that much. Sure they could probably get the new champ for IP, but you can't get the bundle for IP. Enough people will buy that to make up for it.

Plus, you know...The amount of people buying RP in general will make up for it.
