Yasuo small rework idea - Make his E a skillshot

So i had this idea for yasuo that could give him a lot of room for outplay and an opportunity for punishing him if he fucks up.

The idea was make his E a skillshot. He would dash a fixed distance only in a direction of an enemy(to prevent it being a free dash). if he hits an enemy (minion/champion) he would get a reset like he does now, if he misses it goes on a cooldown and he loses one stack of gathering storm.

How would this change him you ask? Imagine he has 2 stack of gathering storm and he is dashing towards you, he wants to dash to you but you dodge his dash and thus he won't knock you up and you could punish him.

He will be at diatance to q you but again, room for outplay instead of the point click undodgeable nature of his current state.

The target cooldown mechanic would be applied to enemies he dashed to, same as now so he can't spam it on the same target.

Tell me what you think.

This will mostly result in a buff (and not a small one).

I don't know if ppl realize that, but having a mobility tool bound to the presence of an available enemy (aka not already used for the escape) is a great control tool and punishes mindless usage of said skill. Yasuo would become fairly harder to kill if he can rely on a dash with free directions,

A lot of champions have dashes. Yasuo has a lot of them. Giving a small dash on a substantial cooldown won't "buff" him imo. He should have no incentive to dash without a purpose of hitting an enemy because it would basically make him immobile for the cooldown. I'd give it a big cooldown. Like 10 seconds to make sure he can't abuse it too much.

If he uses it to dodge something you could punish him hard in lane because he will be immobile.

It would give him a tool to dodge but it would have drawbackd as i mentioned above. Right now his dash is free and has no drawbacks.

The target cooldown mechanic would be applied to enemies he dashed to, same as now.

Thus i won't call it a buff or nerf, rather a change, a rework.

He is already immobile (and also more predictable) if he doesn't want to dash in and has to retreat. You are giving him one more tool to escape, if your itnention was to lower his overall power you did a big mistake.

He is already immobile

?

You are giving him one more tool to escape

Alright, know what? I got an idea.

Make it so he can dash only towardsthe general direction of an enemy and it would be a skillshot.. Would that solve the issue?

Updated op. Tell me your opinion.

Live Yasuo can be mobile only towards his enemies, something that wouldn't change with your suggestion. But he is immobile if he wants to dash away, which he would be able to do with your suggestion.

That would be imo an over complication of the existing mechanic. The only change I would see easily implemente to indirectly reducing his power is to make unavailable targets visible to his enemies. Riot didn't do this until now for visual cluttering reasons but I guess it's worth to give it a try. Tracking which enemies he can dash through is not that easy and having that information would help his enemies predicting his actions and add counterplay.

His EQ CAN BE dodged just move towards him as he does it

How many times have you played yasuo? These suggestions make no sense. The nerfs planned for 9.4 are fine. Should get him to acceptable levels.

Just play him a couple times and you will see how to counter him.

There are way worse things in his kit than his E.
