Dark Harvest only procs off auto attacks?

If true the tool tip doesn't make that distinction. :\

Base damage decreased. Can't proc off other procs. We followed up 8.23 with a few quick nerfs to Dark Harvest's damage, and 8.24 brings another. We're shaving off baseline strength, particularly in the early game, to ensure Dark Harvest's performance relies on how effectively its users can stack it up. On that note, we're also making it harder to stack by removing its proc-off-proc cases, which actually makes the premise a bit more clear: If your target's below the threshold before you hit them, you'll get a stack.

BASE DAMAGE : [40-80] ⇒ 20-60 (lv 1-18) PROC MODEL : Can no longer proc off other procs (ex. Scorch, Liandry's Torment) aside from Luden's Echo, whose effect is built to behave like a separate ability

^ Fair enough, but what about champion abilities that deal damage?

Champion abilities absolutely do proc Dark Harvest.

The "proc off proc" change was to make it so that things like Scorch or a poison effect wouldn't give you a stack.

Abilities will still proc it, they just made runes and items(other than luden's) to proc it.

But I was Aatrox running dark harvest and I for sure hit someone below 50% hp with my Q and never saw the proc rise until I auto'd them.

I wish, it wouldn't need to be gutted thanks to Karthus abusing it

All that change means is items like Liandry's and Runes like Scorch will no longer proc Dark Harvest.

Ability damage from champions directly does indeed proc it.
