So, we can have things get nerfed because of a single abuse case

But when 9/10 of the champions in a class and multiple outside of that class abuse one item

We gotta flip shit because Mordekaiser gets worse than he already is?

Ya'll are overreacting. And the reason I know that is because if you legitimately cared we'd be seeing Galio threads on this board.

Edit: not saying Galio needed Rylai's it's just silly how people crowd mentality Mordekaiser but casually forget anything to do with champions who are also in poor, clunky spots like Galio and Urgot.

Vlad not so much really. I could harp on about the cost reduction being good for him, but honestly rylais is still one of the best items in the game for him. It gives him health which turns to AP and AP which turns to health giving him more value on the item than with most other champs outside of low cd DoT spammers like Cass. WIth enough levels and cdr he still permaslows. I wouldn't say he's in a better spot by any means, but unlike morde this champ doesn't rely on the item to function so he might still be garbage but not Huekaiser level garbage, infact being able to rush it faster may improve some of his worse matchup, but it's tough to say.

I'm hopeful :/

It got both ap and hp nerfed AND the slow.

Vlad sucks now.

As Big Lincoln already said, Galio mains aren't complaining because Rylai's isn't even built on him. He doesn't need the item, has never needed it, and never will need it because he already has a slow and one of the strongest speed buffs in the game and he doesn't care if he can get close to enemies other than to ult in the middle of the team. Morde mains need it first item nearly every single game to stand a chance of doing damage and its nerf is a direct nerf to Morde when he is already weak.

When people complain about Morde being weak i just think it's funny to be honest.

Would they seriously like going back to when if he got through ban phase you legit just lost the game, even now i freaking hate the champion and his stupid ghost dragon sieges that have no counterplay to them at all

Big Lincoln2 votes

when was that, season 1 or 2? years ago?

even pre-rework he was manageable for most of season 4 and 5 and didn't draw any bans. nobody complained; he was as noncontroversial as possible

Doseqis1 votes

post juggernaut rework, when he would just go bot lane hit level 6 when you were level 4 get dragon and just dive you with it.

Big Lincoln1 votes

post-jugg sure. nobody plays him bot though, and he won't be good bot lane anymore because the XP passive has been neutered and is waiting its removal

his Q has also been changed and isn't a third-shot-one-shot anymore

Doseqis1 votes

Pretty much what people complain about, they ask for buffs but most people know without that ridiculous damage he can't be a good solo laner and without his EXP he can't go bot lane.

He just can't be fixed without a full rework at this point.

Big Lincoln1 votes

He works just fine as a top laner. The problem is his viability was directly tied to Rylais' strength. It is comparably worse for him now, compounded onto his horrible base MS and mediocre base stats.

yeah, without his damage he wouldn't be a good solo laner. That's true for.. every solo laner, funny enough.

Meh, the only time in recent history he was drawing bans was the Juggernaut relaunch when he was literally one shotting people with his 3rd Q. He was legit bullshit back then due to that and the ridiculous level advantage he would get in Bot Lane. Right now post Rylais nerf, it feels like the Dragon IS the champion. Too hard to get in range of anyone to use anything else anyway. The only reason to pick Morde at the moment is as a niche counter pick that only sort of works, or to piss of your team.

Doseqis1 votes

The problem is the dragon, once he has rylais and has dragon it just hits you and since it has like 5k hp it just tanks tower and chunks you for a fifth of your Hp bar every hit and also slows so you are just forced off the tower.

His kit is just so poorly designed and offers very litttle in terms of counterplay the two main things holding him back are his passive and Q

His passive makes his laning either sink or swim where one matchup can screw you and others end up being a joke.

And his Q is pretty self explanitory, being one shot by Morde Q was not fun

Galio is already confirmed to be getting relaunched in 2017 and he's not even a champion who cared about Rylai's in the slightest. Nobody cares about him because he's going to be a completely different champion before summer.

There is no date for Mordekaiser so the people who like him have to accept how he is for at least another year and a half because Galio, Urgot and probably Evelynn are going to get work before him.

There's also, you know, actual Mord mains on this board, so we're going to see them complain if their champion ends up weaker. I don't see any Galio mains at all.

Outside of playing support most games on fill, Galio is my main. I have no complaints about him because there is nothing to be complained about. The only thing that most people who try him dislike is that he is super mana hungry and the mage rework fixed that problem entirely with the reworked Rod of Ages which is the perfect item for him. He heals by taking damage and gains mana by taking damage with RoA. So if you are low on mana just use your shield and facecheck the enemy team to get some mana back while also healing.

I'm actually kind of dreading his rework because 2 of my favorite champions in the past had their identities completely erased when they were reworked. Poppy jungle and roaming Sion mid were my mains at those positions before their reworks.
