top lane help needed

So I played a game yesterday where I was teemo top verse a leona with a nocturne jungle. I did a very good play and setup an early game freeze on red side just at the wall that is half on river half on tri brush. I had a control ward in the river brush (they never cleared out) and a regular ward in tri brush with shrooms lining it so I wasn't easy to gank. I would die to Leona Ult me and id get slowed to then her zenith blade while Noc ulted me. I would get burst to noc with his duckblade before i could really do anything. How do i play against noc in top now as a squishy champ? PS I had ninja tabis but probably should of went zhonhyas

With Teemo against such a comp there isn't much you can do. Against someone like Leona who has relatively bad wave clear I would imagine that you should last hit pre-6 and then after reaching 6 you just hard push your waves and fall back to your tower each time. Your enemy, if they have bad wave clear, would have to either take the aggro, freeze under their tower, or expend a lot of mana to wave clear. If they choose to freeze you can roam towards mid or the enemy jungle and place shrooms and deep wards. I mean this is just in theory. Not sure if it would actually work. You could just continuously freeze the lane at your tower as well, but even then it's still relatively easy to dive Teemo unless you focus your shrooms around your tower instead of river/jungle.

That's just a gank combo you can't really fight.

As others have mentioned, not much you can do. However, I don't think Zhonya would have been the right choice of item. I would have go for a Frozen Mallet or even a full Tank Item like Deadman, and then for semi-offensive items with HP, like Liandry, Rylai (if no Mallet) or Protobelt.
