So, i know its all cool and shit to bash matchmaking when odd stuff happens, but this one seriously confounds me.

Just a normal game, but the players were round the board. No groupings and yet we had Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum players in the game. Okay odd, but let's go with it... Then i notice my tristana has only 15 mastery points in, so i got a little curious. Maybe she just accidentally used an unfinished page? Nah, matchmaking put a lv 17 Tristana with no runes against a Plat V Caitlyn...

I'm not bitter about losing, but still, matchmaking wtf? I feel pretty bad for trist though, having to fight a plat caitlyn when she's still trying to learn last hitting.

So what happened was the level 17 Tristana was queued with other people in that game. Most likely, your Platinum Akali. Unfortunately for that Bronze Nasus he had to lane against your Platinum Akali, so I expect that wasn't very fun for him either.

That's just the nature of how matchmaking works when low level or low mmr players queue with their high MMR friends. I'd love to see it fixed, but I can't imagine how they would do it without stopping people from playing games with their friends. Tis the nature of unranked play.

On a side note, ideally new players won't experience this if they don't queue with their higher ranked friends. You can choose options such as "new to MOBA genre" when you make your account which helps out with your initial teammates and opponents as well.

No, if they were queued together there would be purple boxes around both their names to show that they were. There isnt. Plus he says that no one was queued together. That shouldnt happen.

Websites are no longer allowed to display premades. A quick look at his match history shows that he's been duoing with the Silver Vi and the Plat Akali.
