Unpopular Opinion: Lux Buffs

Am I the only one who thinks that everyone is blowing this way out of proportion? (Context: Lux Ult now reduces itself by 30%/40%/50% cd if it secures a kill on a champion)

I mean, this feels like a massive circle jerk around a cheap frilly effect that feels powerful and fun, but in reality will have minimal impact. Not zero impact, but not to "zomg IMBA wtf rito!" levels.

First, it's the lux ult that needs to get the kill. Not the passive auto after. Not the E. Not the Ludens proc. Specifically the ultimate.

Second, fairly often you're waiting for a proper opportunity, rather than spamming your ult on cd. A lot of the time she gets her refresh, she won't use her ult until it woulda been back up anyway.

Lux has ben cited at 49% win rate and not in need of buffs, I'll be impressed if she gets to 51% by this alone. I cannot fathom her getting past 52%.

While I think it isn't as bad as people say it is, I think it's the wrong kind of buff. It makes her really snowbally where if she kills you, she can do it immediately once you get back into lane, again and again. Buffs may be needed, but this is the wrong buff.

Once upon a time, Lux Ult used to have 40 cd before cdr. One of her 'features' is having a semi-spammable ult cannon. One of the issues, however, was the fact that people would use it for wave clear, and misc stuff. I think this is on of the ways riot is using to try to give lux her sharpened identity back, without making her able to use it for shenanigans involving anti-siege stalling out the game.

what champ wasn't hated when they were S tier? maybe jhin but even then alot of people hate him and think he is a broken champ

Lets assume these changes are not part of the 1st of April fools...

I'm ok with buffing Lux, but buffing one of the most oppressive skills by making it nearly spam worthy isn't a good thing unless you want her to be able to clear lanes entirely.

It only reduces the CD when being used for champion-killing. It has full CD when used for wave clear.

I do find this interesting but the winrate might either not change much at all, or go up high. This seems more like something thatll needs to be seen and tested as it has a lot of factors.
