Redemption and knights vow should not have even existed.

Before they were introduced preseason 7, supports could still protect adcs by using their kit effectively. Nowadays they just press item actives and their built in shield to make adc unkillable. They don't even have to land cc like they had to do in previous seasons. Back in season 6 ad before, assassins and burst mages were very powerful, but if the support times their cc correctly, they could keep their adc alive as well as the adc had to demonstrate near perfect kiting and positioning. Now we have adc's able to frontline due to the ridiculous % damage reduction and shields they are getting. Right now burst mages and assassins are better off trying to focus the enemy mage/assassin or even try to chunk the frontline because if they fail to kill the adc, the adc will just lifesteal to full in a few seconds.
