TLDR cus im to lazy to write out a wall of text: It's obvious that riot didnt do a soft reset, they did a hard reset and almost everyone got demoted a hell of a lot further than they should have (even if they won all their placements) so should riot do another reset where we get our old rankings back and then do a second reset and make sure its actually a SOFT RESET not hard?

Remlap12231 votesUh, no. It's just a bullshit tactic to get players to keep playing ranked. You shouldn't be getting 30 LP gains every game when you win. That doesn't mean you were placed well, it means you were played significantly lower than where you need to be.

Centuros1 votesThis is actually a super soft reset, since your performance last season in part dictates where you are this season, regardless of placements. A HARD reset would have your placements act as if you had never played ranked before (so you wouldn't be demoted from winning every match).

Actually it is a hard reset, because generally (for bronze and silvers mainly) bronze 3- silver 1 is where most people who havent play ranked before end up, most people in silver ended up in bronze 4-3 from silver 5-3 and most people in gold and up ended up in silver, the only real people who arent effect where plat and up who would get gold anyways regardless
