Or you need to rename/rephrase it to the ability to buy new stuff for a champion once its level five.

from what I see and experience: mastery level 6 and 7 has NOTHING to do with skill, oh two S games? ok some skill maybe, but you still cant get your level because you need essence shards or a permanent (whatever the fuck that is)

meaning you have to buy/earn chests/keys which means you have to buy mastery level 6/7 or go play other champions for chests and pray to the RNG gods that everytime you win you get a key

how does that makes sense? you have to play other champions and get S's to earn chests to unlock the required materials to gain a mastery level on a different champion?!

thats one assbackwards system

Yeah but they should at least be up front about what it is, this is like one of those things where they tell you it's free, then after the first 90 days they surprise you by telling you it was just a trial version and now you gotta pay. Dirty tactics.

Dont get me wrong, they can make profit all they want, ive spent 500$+ on RP for skins. however its not mastery if youre paying for it.

Agreed, hextech chests were a good release, a way to earn free skins through playing. Mastery levels were cool, earned a neat thing from playing your favorite champ. The nice thing about both? They were free. You don't have to spend money for either. Now they're trying to turn it back around to make money off of it. Scumbag rito. I almost thought you were showing your appreciation for your players for a minute. Turns out it was just a seed planted with the hopes of growing into a money tree later.
