2 Years Later, Still no Poachers Knife changes

Poachers Knife is currently the worst Jungling item, and one of the most pointless items in the game, it astounds me to see some of the stuff being talked ab out - Garen Rework? New fighter items? The AP Items? Even direct attention to OTHER Jungling Items, but Poacher's Knif eremains untouched.

This item has no alternative use outside of counter-jungling, which means the enemy has to take one look at your items in order to see a big white-flag that says "DEFEND YOUR JUNGLE"

Only Nunu can get away with it because you don't out-smite Nunu anyway regardless of what knife he takes

The reward for this makes no sense either as you can just as easily go gank a lane for an assist. The risk is too high. If you gank a lane and die in the worst case scenario, that's 1 lane, maybe their jungler counterganked. But if you die to the jungler trying to counter-jungle, that's a roaming global presence that just got stronger, every lane is now harder, and maybe one of the lanes came to help kill you for more assist gold

The extra gold reward means you want to continue counter-jungling, but this becomes more an dmore difficult as it's soon very obvious that you're doing this when they see their camps missing

The speed boost ON KILL means you have a very limited amount of safety. If you get caught in the middle of a camp you have no speed boost and have wasted time as you need to run away

and now the item is completely useless as you brought back the god damn Feral Flare, Devourer is what you want ot buy as a counter-jungler because you actually get something for it and can transition into the later parts of the game
