I'll be perfectly honest here. The only assassin that I think is "healthy" is Nidalee.

Nidalee, because while yes, her spears hurt, they aren't actually super hard to dodge, and in a teamfight, all she can do is throw those spears. if she tries to follow up on it, she gets deleted because she has no way out. On top of that, in order to deal maximum spear damage, it has to be thrown from 1500 units away. When Pouncing a Hunted target, it has a range of 700. So there is a window between taking a spear hit and Nidalee jumping on you, so it's not like a Leblanc combo in that aspect either.

Although at the same time, I acknowledge your point, being that the assassin role is unhealthy in general, because it's infuriating to be instagibbed (which is why I find Nidalee to be more fair, because unless she's really fed, she won't oneshot you with her spears).

I'm sorry, but Nid needs a serious rework. I have no problem with her having a good poke ability, but her spears are beyond insane. She is throwing out one of the most damaging ults in the game every 8 seconds. They literally take over half the health of some champs. Now that the majority of Nid's are jungle, you don't see the spear coming until it's too late and you die. Let's not even get into the fact her follow up is absurd, her mobility is beyond broken, and that she has one of the best heals in the game.

A balanced assassin right now is Kassadin . He can hard carry, but has definite weaknesses and counters.

It is a stupid joke, Assassins are atm the weakest role in pro-play, only Assassin that is/was frequent pick is/was LeBlanc.
