I'm playing Vel'koz against LeBlanc and I literally cannot even get in EXP range. This is stupid.

W + W into close range, Q + Gunblade + auto + unavoidable E, return W before my E and W pop, congratulations I have to recall because I'm now at 20% health. At most, I hit her with a Q and first part of W, but the Gunblade spell vamp giving 100% on her Q allows her to heal 50-80% of her health on each wave by bouncing it.

Virtually every other assassin can do something similar to zone me out of wave clear range, and it's pretty ridiculous.

Is anything even being done to make immobile skill shot champions worth playing again?

First off don't play immobile skill shot champions into assassins you're a free meal to them. Second try modifying your build so that doesn't do 80% of your health. Also from what i'm seeing you where playing against a LB main who got a double kill at 5 mins and by 15 mins was almost 2k up on you so of course the burst mage/assassin is gonne fuck you up the closest thing you have to defense if a zhonya's, not a bit of hp or mr in the entire build You're diamond the fact that this needs explaining to you is remarkable.

Haha yes, let me build tank Vel'koz, so LeBlanc's combo will only take 65% of my health instead of 85%, and I'll do absolutely no damage and be completely useless to my team.

Spoiler: I'm not going to survive the second combo either way. So now I'm still forced to recall after eating it, and I also do no damage if I land anything on her or her team.

Rushing defensive items is never the correct strategy, unless you're playing something like Ryze or Cassiopeia. It's not going to stop you from being pushed out of lane. Even if I had rushed a Veil, the only item I can reliably build on Vel'koz (and shouldn't), it's not going to do anything to stop the AD Jarvan from one shotting me.

Rush a Banshees vs hypermobile stuff. Its a losing lane if they're good for sure, max W first and mong push waves early. Keep doing that and try to interact as little as possible. Run boneplating and second wind or both potion runes. If they have their mobility on cooldown, Ult them. Sure it wont kill em but they will have to leave lane.

First off I didn't say build tank vel'koz I said you had no MR or Hp in your build whatsoever and considering the LB had two kills at 6 minutes that seems like poor judgment. I mean there a 4 ap items that offer health and only 1 that offers both Ap and MR but its not like an abyssal mask is the worst thing in the world. If i accept everything you just said as true and absolutely 100% right and in no way open to interpretation then I have only one more question, why not ban LB? I know she's probably his biggest counter and its not like people in diamond won't be able to play her. I mean there is no way you picked it after she was picked (i'm trusting you're not a moron) and if you knew you where picking him (especially blind) then she should've been banned. I mean if what you said is irrefutably true then I would argue you lost in champ select due to not thinking ahead.

hi vel'koz 1trick here and i can definitely say it is VERY frustrating to play vs mobile champs like zed/fizz/leblanc/yasuo etc since the only thing you can really do is hope your jungler ganks while you sit at the very back of the lane and farm with q and w

thats why i dont like playing velkoz too much nowadays

I ban her. Vel's #1 counter IMO. Fizz and Zed ults can be Zhonya'd, Ekko I can at least be on the same screen with (until he gets Protobelt, which shouldn't exist in the first place)... But LB has too many tools to make Vel's life hell.

Only zed can do something similar to an less degree than leblanc. Really you just gotta figure out how to keep at a max range once she has those items and go for team fights. Leblanc is kinda useless there unless you're letting her flank
