Whats the point to even play top lane anymore?

I honestly don't see much point to even lane anymore unless your top lane champion is absolutely broken. When laning you risk of being ganked, you risk of being zoned from cs, counterpicked etc, meanwhile these junglers just free farm their camps, cover lanes and usually end up having way more gold, while not having to fight for any of it , and also get to impact the map way more. Back in lets say season 3, junglers earned less gold and exp, so they were more about ganking, and laning actually had a meaning, now its outshined by the jungle.
