@Rito..... Why the FUCK are you nerfing Dead Man's???

This item has only been out for a few patches and already received 2 nerfs, this will be the third. Stop, Rito. You can't fucking nerf armor AGAIN and AGAIN while simultaneously buffing AD items and champions. Some of your changes honestly make no fucking sense. Why is item 3143 only 450 HP?? You literally just buffed item 3068 450->500 HP and then you took item 3143 which is in a perfectly fine state and made it 500->400->450 HP what the actual fuck.

I'll tell you what, I'll make a deal with you.

I'll give you the 100 HP from item 3742 if you put item 3143 back at 500 HP with the 10% MOVEMENT SPEED SLOW on-hit from mid-S4. It's bad enough you're ALREADY nerfing literally the entire resolve tree, the only things tanks have for early game since item 1054 is a 100% useless item. I'd rather actually throw 450 gold in the garbage than buy item 1054. Just buy and sell items until I'm 450g poorer. The Resolve Tree is ALREADY (before ANY NERFS) objectively WORSE than the Defensive tree from last season. Why go and nerf the already-mediocre masteries EVEN MORE?? Bond of Stone gives 4% (will be 2% and later 3%) damage reduction for 18 points in the Resolve Tree. However, with merely 12 points in the Ferocity Tree you can get up to 7.5-10% damage amplification. God forbid a KEYSTONE MASTERY give 4% or even 8% damage reduction while also technically doing more damage to you.

Don't even get me started on how sad item 3075 is as a fucking item. "Damage Reflection" aka "Thorns Armor" is a concept that has existed in video games for fucking ages and you can't even get such a simple thing right. Hell, you HAD IT RIGHT just a few patches ago. You couldn't at least make the build path 2x item 1031 ?? Maybe some more bonus armor scaling? 25%->50%? Anything?? Meanwhile ADCs can get to 40% CDR and 40% crit with two items.

I don't understand how a fucking game company with 6 years of experiences and so many millions of dollars and resources that can put out some really cool skins and shiny aesthetic bullshit while simultaneously sucking so hard at balancing. It's pretty mind-boggling how much you guys fundamentally lack understanding of the most game design. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. If it is broke, then do fucking fix it.

It's not "nerfing armor", it's "nerfing an item that gives armor, survivability, damage, and great mobility simultaneously and performs exceptionally great on champions that already have great armor and survivability that were limited by and balanced on not having great mobility".

"If it ain't broke, don't fix it. If it is broke, then do fucking fix it." Well, this is good news for you then.

Well for one I think Deadman's does need to be nerfed. Too much offense on a defensive item. There's a few armor items I'd buff up a bit, item 3068 in particular.

Honestly I think tanks are in the best spot they've been in in a long, long time. On the one hand, you really can't kill them alone and they do enough damage and provide enough cc to squishy targets to be considered a threat. On the other, if you catch them out or split them from their team when they initiate, then quickly focus them down, they actually die quite quickly. That's how it should be.

In my opinion Dead Man's knocks the other armor items out of the park and is getting a well deserved nerf. It had stats as good as, almost as good as or better than all of the other armor items. I believe a solid alternative to nerfing Dead Man's would be adding similar movement enhancing effects (not the slow) on Shiv or Ludens. They make you run faster and give extra damage. Why is it that Tanks get the same effect but to a stronger degree (and a cheaper item). In addition to a boat load of stats it gives you a fuck-ton of ultility.

I'm confident selling boots when I have Dead Man's; that's an extra 2000 gold in my inventory (at full build) because I have an item that 1) makes me run stupidly fast and 2) isn't viable for all champions to build (like boots).

But let's be honest - it's still going to be a popular item.

Maybe they did it because HP shred got nerfed, I know not. What I do know is it's the most popular defensive item at the moment while offering a ton of things.

crazy nerf. id rather they remove the damage on the passive

i only got deadmans for the hp / armor anyway

now thats its nerfed. i will be going back to randuins. randuins already gave more EHP but deadmans gave a little utility

now with deadmans being way lower in EHP. randuins here i come

If this guys talked in game to another summoner like that, he would be banned lmao.

Obviously because they believe it's too stat-efficient.

They're just trying to make Dead Man's is as bad as the reworked Randuin's. A lot of people realized how shit Randuin's became and switched to Dead Man's even vs crit. heavy ADCs.

This is a team so used to plugging their ears and shutting their eyes that they see anything that isn't their idea immediately wrong, and you think they're going to understand basic logic? The most you're going to get is them casually brushing this concern aside and falling back on the whole "Lol it's just preseason guys, chill" bullshit excuse.

They want this to be an ADC meta where the ADC dominates, so that means they want to nerf everything that could cause problems for them. If their counters are weakened, they have more time in the spotlight and they can show off how successful the rework was. If they continue to let ADC's fail to show off their new strength, then they would be forced to admit failure - and for them, that's an outrageous event that on their watch will never happen, even if it means pushing their ideas through at our expense.

Although I don't want armor nerfed (since they are not gold efficient to begin with) currently there is no reason not to take deadman plate, he outshines item 3143 and item 3068 as standalone item
