There isn't a single post or bit of feedback anywhere online or on the PBE that could possibly hint that the preseason 6 changes are even remotely close to balanced.

Us Tank and AP/Mage Mains need to Stand United in combating the AD menace. Make your voices loud and unified ekkoing one message so that Rito hears us loudly and clearly. If it can work for Sandbox Mode (they are actually working on it now) . Season 3's League of and the Assassin Meta pales in comparison to the train wreck that Rito is bringing us in Season 6. We all remember how S4 was around Worlds. Season 6 will be like that, but 100x worse.

EDIT: Success! Today's round of PBE updates saw some nerfs to ADCs and reverted to 120 AP with now at 25 AP. The cost is still up, but they claim that to be true about every item so I count this as our first victory against the AD menace.

The Whisper changes are a buff to Tanks. The new Whisper penetrates less armor against anything below 600ish and gimps Ranger and AD Assassin damage against soft targets.

Mages are getting a 45% CDR cap and a free Luden's Echo passive. Mages are also getting their AP ratio against towers buffed.

Tanks and mages can't stop marksmen. Tank items have been made impotent, and mages can no longer find solace in item 3157 . Riot is systematically destroying anything that could possibly stand in the way of an ADC.

Except assassins. They're not getting as badly hurt as other roles by the item changes. They're the natural counter to marksmen because they delete them before the marksmen a chance to attack more than once.

But do we really want an assassin meta? Is this our choice? Marksmen running around blowing anything they want up in four or less autos, or assassins killing everyone in under a second? I'd rather have neither one, if it's all the same.

But if you made me choose, I'd pick the assassin meta. Because after a few months of that, we'd see tank buffs and then we'd return to the glory of a tank meta once again. Never has the game been so diverse than when strong tanks were keeping the more oppressive roles in check (but not stifled) to allow things like immobile mages and utility champions to have their time in the limelight.

Well while some of the new items are crazy, many core items had their ad lowered, causing adcs to have lots more passive bonuses but a lower total ad so it's hard to tell where that ill put them. Plus it's preseason, it is supposed to be experimental. Remember league of cleavers? If anything, the main item I see being a problem is the grevious wounds one for adcs. It should probably work more like morello since autos are so easy to land (can't miss them) and so healers ill just never be able to work. If it only applied below 40% i think it would be fine.

Hey guys, i figured out the new tank meta. See, most people are scared about all the adc buffs but here trust me this will protect from all the new items

I agree that ADC's are gunna be crazy but doesn't this allow for the burst/assassin AP champs to take over. This will mean that tanks that survive the burst will be good into these champs. So its Rock, Paper, Scissors.

JOINED. i've been thinking for a while now that riot likes AD over AP and tanks (how have Chogath and Swain not been gutted yet lol). Cant really find much evidence to disprove it either, meanwhile item 3157 nerfs for no apparent reason and the fact that Ekko, Sejuani, Sion, and Azir were all given immediate, nerfs this year, while Fiora went about a month before riot did anything, and Vayne went about 2-3 months before getting anything(actually i think she got a buff during that). Hell even Zed got nerfed a good 3 months or so after the rest of the assassins did earlier this year.

I like these changes. Yes, it's always been you have to have an adc on your team, but the problem was that it always had to be this one marksman or the other. I see these changes as bringing more diversity to the role. My bet is that this will actually be an update that brings a bit more fun to the game. You're acting like you won't also have an adc on your team lol.

To me the current state of the game is if you're not Jinx or Vayne in ranked then you just like to gamble or are being hipster. Here's to hoping a little more thought can be made about which adc brings the utility our team needs to the table.

Honestly Riot did an outstanding job with the marskamn rework. They're refocusing champions and giving them strong niches instead of being one of a dozen options for doing the exact same thing.

But they didn't need to do all these item changes, at least they didn't need to buff AD items while nerfing AP items and indirectly nerfing tanks by giving stronger armor penetrating options and grievous wounds.
