It is time Riot decides what to do with mage supports

There are several mage supports or supportive mages or whatever you call them. Characters that are typically played both in solo lanes and as a support. Think of Annie, Lulu, Morgana, Zyra, Karma, Zilean. When these champions become too strong in a particular lane, they get nerfed without compensation to their other role. For example, there is currently a damage nerf on Morgana's W on the PBE.

I think Riot should decide what they want with these champions. They claim they don't want to enforce the meta and let players discover new things. As long as a champion is viable somewhere, it is fine. That sucks if you like playing Lulu support or mid lane Morgana. Your champion gets nerfed without compensation because they were oppressive in some other lane.

Patch notes 4.13: As an aside, we know this isn't a great situation where we keep indirectly reducing support Lulu's power to maintain her viability as a mage, so this is something we'll have to really consider for the future.

Please start doing that considering for the future. What place do Zilean, Zyra or Karma have in the game? I see all sorts of experimental support picks, but not them. Are you happy with nerfing a champion in one lane because they are too strong in a different lane? Please show us that you have a vision for mage supports. Just nerfing them whenever they become strong is not a solution in the long term. And meanwhile it crushes the last bit of hope players have left.
